    I like the square body more on the older escalades and Denali the headlights are throwing me off a bit but it's still a caddy so I like it and also think caddy should have did a dual chrome exhaust integrated in the bumper like on their 2014 models

    I remember Escalades used to start at around $55k brand new...now they start at around 80k?? Dammm the value of the dollar keeps going down? Pretty soon they're going to start at around 120k?

    • @adanlopez8187
      @adanlopez8187 8 лет назад

      not only that, but cadillac did a huge price increase from their last generation escalade to this. previous was 58k base, now it's 73k base. i know the new one is bigger, faster, more luxurious, but damn inflation doesn't go up 15k on a 60k in one year.

    As an Escalade owner, I find this review a bit over the top. Personally I don't drive like King of the Road and I don't expect anyone to get out of my way, although they occasionally do. It is big & comfortable for the long trips we take, and it tows the boat like there's nothing more than a string of tin cans tied to the back end. Once a couple of early warranty issues were resolved, it's been trouble free for 68,000 miles and seven years. I have a short commute to work so the mileage is not a problem. In fact, a tank of gas ($90) would last a whole month if I only went to work. I love the car, but please drive with respect for everyone else on the road.

    • @DolleHengst
      @DolleHengst 10 лет назад +1

      I don't agree. Though lots of succesful people DO show off. By buying expensive automobiles, for instance.
      But if i have succes and make lots of money, i could also use that to buy art, paintings and stuff. And then put them in my villa or mansion.
      No-one will know those pieces of art are in the house.
      I could also "celebrate my succes" by making lots of travels to destinations all around the world. In a cheap Hawaii shirt....

    The escalade has sure come along way since the 2005 model that we used to own, I really like this one. However for $83K, I would go for either a Range Rover or a Porsche cayenne instead, but that is just me.

    • @blackrain217

      If I had $83K I would go for the Porsche Cayenne just because it's more dynamic.
      But between the Range Rover and the Escalade, I would go for the Range Rover just because I live where there is crazy amount of snow, besides IN MY OPINION Range Rover looks and feels more premium!

    • @cadrolls
      @cadrolls 10 лет назад +13

      Range Rovers are money hogs. A new tranny will set you back over $4,000.00 and there are too many things that go wrong with them. Porsche has one of the worst resale values of all cars. The Cadillac represents an EXCELLENT value for the Dollar.

    After going to the NY Auto Show, I'd rather take the Lincoln Navigator over the Escalade, because there's actually more passenger volume, including the third row seat. All the buttons on the Navigator are not touch, only the Navigation screen, which is more convenient. The Escalade will sell, but I think that both vehicles could have came with eight-speed automatic transmissions for better fuel economy.

    Quick tip, you may see it or not... But these new cars don't like torque revving before a launch... the trick to best launches are a small roll away then punch. I don't know why, but I'm sure it's all the computers trying to protect the engine and transmission.. my two cents.

  • @Rtvoll

    Should've come with an 8 speed. They could've gotten better mpgs. Also these new GM trucks are getting too heavy. I remember having a 98 suburban that weight about 5000lbs with 4wd. Now a new suburban weighs 5900 lbs. I'd hate to see how much the new escalade weighs.

    Roman, nobody ever reviewed Cadillac Escalade vs Lexus 570 . there is a lot to tell in terms of performance and elegance. Please try to fit Nathan in the trunk.

    I prefer the Range Rover to this or any luxury SUV. However, if I was choosing between getting a base Escalade (which happens to have more than what I need) or a loaded Denali which costs the same, I'd go for the Escalade
