    Dr. Mandell, I have had COPD for about 5 years now and recently started exercising again after a chest infection. I took up a new exercise routine from Burke Rehabilitation and Research and suddenly _my chest is clear._ I even started _jogging_ again, slowly and for short distances. Something I thought I would never do again. It's like I've gone back 4 years in the progress of my COPD. I just used your exercise and it got rid of even more trapped deep mucous. I know I have a problem with very tight, tense intercostal muscles and this freed them. _I begin to feel there is hope after all._ Thank you so much.

    Went to a pulmonary doctor, he said my lungs looked fine but got more medicine, which has not been very effective. Felt better with more relief after this exercise!! Will continue doing exercise. Thank you Dr. Mandel.

      That's what most doctors do, they write prescriptions, that have more side effects, than an airplane has parts. Poorly educated doctors and nurses. I am NOT amused. I Gor to Dr. Mendel & Dr. Berg.

    Thank you Dr. Mendel. I needed this so badly. I just came out of the hospital after my bout with severe Covid. I am hooked to high flow Oxygen for 13 days and stayed at the hospital for a total of 21 days. Thank you Lord for giving me back to my family 🙏🙏❤️❤️

    Have had severe copd for 5 years. 3 weeks ago l went on oxygen and morphine. I've been doing this exercise for a week and I'm stunned by how much something so simple is helping! Can't thank you enough and wonder why our medical practitioners don't incorporate the style of exercise into our treatment. I'm going to make sure mine becomes aware of it, so thanks again.       I was very bad with COPD , found WEI institute did 6 month of their therapy, by breathing capacity went from 64% to 80%. I am actually running 30 minutes a day. It was a miracle. No more oxygen, no meds , feeling very alive again. Good luck

    Breathing techniques are especially useful now, in the COVID19 pandemic. We strengthen the lungs but also breathing exercises help in stress, anxiety and panic attack. And also insomnia.

    This is truly amazing. I couldn't really do the full stretching because my body wasn't ready and couldn't reach that much. But even after doing so little I feel a relief. Would you mind doing a video of preparation before those stretches and as well for the neck and shoulder area, I believe this would be very useful combined with these stretches to release all the tension from the muscles.

    ok I must be in tune with the Universe and they are telling you what I need! I recently went on oxygen - it's on 2 because I just couldn't deal.     Hey Dr. Mandell!
    Love your videos. I showed my boyfriend your lymph massage videos and he shared them with his mom and they helped her with an issue she had for weeks. Her doctor was zero help! I've shared your videos with a lot of my family and now my mom is an avid watcher. 🤗
    I was looking at oxygen machines earlier this week because I've been having breathing issues. This video was perfect timing! I thought my breathing issues were due to me being a premature baby or stress..but I've been working on my posture/pelvic tilt but it's hard. Your videos are immensely helpful and motivating, however. You're the best. Thank you so much for all of your effort and research!

    Thank you for this information. I am wondering why on earth my pulmonary specialist has never given me this kind of useful information. My oxygen saturation on room air is typically in the mid 80’s due to an autoimmune disorder that scars the delicate tissue in my lungs. I was able to go off the supplemental oxygen for almost ten years until recently. I am going to do what I can to improve my breathing, my posture is a good start. I will do the exercises you have demonstrated and let you know my results. Thank you!

    The best pain reliever! Been struggling with intercossal muscle pain, for a while now, thanks to poor posture over the years. Currently on treatment but this exercise has just changed my perspective about pain meds and even physiotherapy!

    This guy is a saviour. I have been struggling with flam in my throat. It was very prevalent in the morning and about 9 o clock in the evening.
    I had been to the docs many times. No success.
    I came upon his video about a drink made from hot water green tea mint honey lemon cayenne pepper and ginger.
    Took it in the morning on an empty stomach and again in the evening before dinner
    Worked like a dream. I have to pinch myself now and again that this worked. I can breath sleep and work without coughing. It clears the whole air tracts. I would have given anything to get rid of this curse. Not thanks to this man I feel alive again.

    As an LMT I see many people who have cervical and thoracic pain.
    It’s much more noticeable in this electronic age as so many people bend down using cell phone apps, reading Kindles or Nooks, playing on Gameboy’s, DS or Switch players, etc. causing the head itself to be out of alignment instead of upright over the body.

    I have had a pinched nerve in my shoulder for months. The chiropractor diagnosed the problem to be coming from my neck. I have had many sessions to release the radial nerve tension in my neck but nothing has helped. I kept telling him that the issue is in my shoulder and that if he could pop my shoulder the problem would be gone...Well this stretch..whilst bending forward and relaxing into it allowed my shoulder joint to give a loud POP and a few days later my shoulder was 90% better.. This is amazing..thank you

    Dr Mandela, You are a God Send! I have bladder cancer, and on my second day of chemo. I refuse to believe I have cancer! Not denial, just positive thinking! I still stretch and or exercise every day, plus use your advice! The chemo has a tendency to make feel blah, after the first day. I noticed my breathing has gotten a little shallower and I already have low resting heart rate due to past running when younger ( 74 ) now and it took its toll on lower back and hips. Even walking the little guy on hard pavement, makes outer hips tight and painful. I have taken up indoor walking exercises, and use the recumbent bike for short intervals. Also do kettlebell and body wt. training. This advice helped me quite a bit! May God Bless and keep You! Your Friend and Fan, Jerry C.

    Hey Doc, I have COPD and Bronchitis I have been looking for exercise or stretching techniques to help with my breathing. From the start, after my first session, I could feel the benefits straight away. I feel I can take a deep breath rather than the short breaths through my mouth.     🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😌IAM amazed at your clips that just come up when I need them most..I was put on a new blood pressure table about a week ago, it but my Blood Pressure up sky high,, I had to test it myself at home and I suffer white coat syndrome bad 😡so at home I get panic attacks. Well I’m back on the one that worked well for years 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 BUT I learnt to sit very straight head high & breath deep through my nose. And Oxygen had a lot to do with the pressure..THANK YOU SO MUCH..

    Ok. I haven’t had a good deep breath in a while, so I did the stretch and it worked like a miracle, but every time I take a deep breath I feel like I’m pulling something in my chest.

    I was working on breathing exercises before this video and I was breathing in as deep as I could. After the exercise, I could breath in deeper. Didn’t think this would do anything, glad I tried it. Thank you!

    I suggest everyone buying a vicks steam therapy mask. I was a smoker for years and after just a few minutes of using steam my lungs were clearing

      This sounds like a great ide but wouldn't a regular steamer/inhaler work (just add water)? I mean - with Vick's - aren't there added costs involved when you add the pads that need to be replaced every so often or can you just use the units as a basic steamer/healer? Will definitely look into it. Have any of you commenters began using one and is so... what did you get?

    I have problems with my breathing, just know that poor posture can affect. Actually I have chronic congestion and it makes it difficult for me to breath. I noticed when i run or jug, my congestion goes away and i have a wonder feeling breathing in oxygen but my one problem is my asthma replaces my chronic congestion.
    I tried your stretching, and it does improve my breathing, i felt my lungs expands more
