@@PaulMayeulJust looked at the wiki, they can hold infantry, foot archers, and villagers. I have never seen archers in rams though.

My enemy micro controlled his archers to pop out and shoot anything trying to kill it.
Was a menace.
@jamesclarkson156 I've done it before. Trying to destroy a Castle, enemy didn't have boiling oil. Put the archers under the castle to protect my rams.

I was so shocked that there was no early aggression. Honestly I was thinking that if green really thought he was done for and wasn't going to be able to do anything he would villager bomb his neighbors. There was a point that Blue, Gray, and Purple's woodlines could've probably died from just 1 delete villager, then go down the coast wiping out player's vill counts before resigning.

I've been playing AoE2 since 2000 and this is the first time I've ever heard about the dropping into allied TC trick 😮
I think this worked out so well because there's a weird anti-synergy with the two mods. With all the trees everywhere you can't get out of the shore, and so it's more volatile.

Love it how blue is protecting purples king who is being threatened by gray who blue is also allied with.
Oh yeah, if you rush onagers as soon as possible and you get as far into the treeline as possible, create multiple walls to stop anything from getting through, maybe put down some towers as well and then you just make your eco far inside the trees. If you really wanted to, you could rush for the relic victory while doing this

Celts, Berbers and Saracens would probably be the best for this scenario at the beginning.
In the later game Spanish (durable vills and trading bonus), Brits (killing vills with longbows and warwolf) and Incas (armored vills).

New idea: exploding trees! They could have lots of wood per tree, but once exhausted, it explodes. Or exploding mines! That makes even more sense from punny perspective

Strange. I think the strategy is navy and layers of palisade walls because they are cheap and force the villagers to stop. Castles are also even more OP than usual in this mode

Fun fact I was in the original map. DuxTheSavior was a massive troll especially with how he introduced the map. I was the first to go out and I was eliminated by Dux which was sad.

@@jexom From what I can see, the only things he said were "come to me green" and "im allied", nothing about garrisonning villagers. And he said those things *after* green started moving towards his neighbor...
They should learn the AI to play it aswel.
This strategy of garrisoning in ally's TC sounds a great deal for teutons giving farms to an ally

Really enjoyed watching this one. I'd like to see more of exploding vills. I think this is probably the best map for it as all the vills are lined up

invite pros to a community game/tourney, but their identities are hidden like in Hidden Cup and they are forbidden of sharing it; for entertainment it is possible to reveal it beforehand to the viewers. It would spice alliancess up and be also fun for the pros, has not to be top of the top, just top 24 or 48 would already be fun and giving them a strong battlefield map.

I think my strategy would be to use exploding vills to slowly carve out a kingdom in the forest. Didn't realize they clear trees. You could get to the relic and by the time you get to castle age, you could of exploded your way there, build a monastery, and boom. VICTORY
yes but then everyone would turn on you and send their vills down the same path lol 250 yrs for relic (i think?) victory is a long time but it would be damn fun to watch!
