    I noticed a problem, if you select 2 society traits that are suppose to give +1 rank to pole arms, your recruits only have +1 rank, not +2. Have you noticed this as well? I wonder if the devs will be fixing this.

      And i have a problem when using 2 society traits that give you extra units. Some combos of them doesnt stack... Scions of evil and powerful evokers gives me only 1 extra shock unit no extra battle mage unit ;_;

    Runesmith sounds like an odd choice, as you don't actually go heavy on unit enchantments. Just for the free Polearm unit at game start?
    Wouldn't mind it, if Runesmith wasn't already so massively popular for High culture rainbow archers.
    Scions of Evil sounds more thematic for this build, or like with every build, just take Adept Settlers, because it's always OP?

      The build has more unit enchantments than it seems - just not the usual direct damage one. You got several supporter enchants, also some direct frontline enchants - it's more than it seems.
      I do agree though, you can easily stem the mana costs otherwise and replace it with some other trait. I personally love the faster research time on the unit enchants too, makes the fancy upgrades faster available. I do agree that this is a personal choice and not necessarily an optimized one ^^

    Yeah the moral makes a huge difference. I was playing a game near the end, about to achieve a magic victory on Story realm 4, and Meandor caught a moral debuff. He was sending a big ugly army right at me. I wanted to just thin some of the army out so I tossed 3 stacks of whatever leftovers I had lying around, it was like 1.5K my side, 3k his side, I actually won the battle with an auto battle, I had to go back and watch the replay because I couldn't believe it heh.

    Heeey I had a similar-ish build I posted on the r/AOW4 forums!
    Dark but Order tomes, phrased as “The Inquisition”
    Having that little bit of healing in there and the morale buffs/damage is so wild - before trying it out I never realised how strong morale bonuses/defuffs where
    Plus, dark with Angelise just looks badass

      Yeah, I had the idea when I was recently doing the Shadow/Order build for the High Culture. I noticed that Dark might be amazing with support and yeah - they are :D
      Especially the morale gameplay is amazingly strong. I expected to be too low on damage but the Defense Reduction of the Spearmen and the Morale Crits + Cull The Weak hit harder than I expected.

    Great videos. I have an idea. Tier 3 nature in desert (summon greater animal =Phoenix), with tier 5 materium (eternal earth). The Phoenix may have 2, 3, or possibly 4 lives per combat. My friend has the game, showed me how cool it is. I have not had the chance to buy it yet. Thank you for all the information videos

      A Phoenix Build? Wow, I gotta try out a Culture with Desert Adaptation, this sounds rad :D

      @@Ic0nGaming let me know how it turns out. Also Ice spider is elemental and animal (like Phoenix). But I believe can be a mount. If a mount with eternal earth (rebirth) tome effect would it bring a hero back to life ( I doubt it). Thanks for liking the idea. Hope it works

    Quick question... How well does this work with auto-resolve. While I play important battles in tactical. I heavily rely on auto-resolve otherwise. (BTW another superb video)

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  Год назад +1

      They work surprisingly well. Usually no losses on simple map fights. After that usually the T1 Shock Troopers keel over first. The automatics use the support skills a lot. And while they don't use it too smartly, this does make auto resolve quite good.

      @@Ic0nGaming Well, I was all set for a Mythic Astral/Order play-through today. However, after seeing this video I'm not committed to your build! Thank you!

    @Ic0n Gaming I have a question about army organization. I know that you touched on this briefly in your video but my question is in your average 3 Armies, 18 unit group...What do you include in each 6 man group? i.e. would you spread your shields and Night Guards between each army or would you specialize each 6 man group in some way. In other words in your experience how many of each unit type do you like to include in a 18 man roster? 4 Night Guards, 2 Shields, 1 Chaplain, 1 Skald, etc... Thank you! 👋

    is still good this build after new updates ?

    • @Ic0nGaming
      @Ic0nGaming  Месяц назад

      Yes, although you don't need as much support anymore to stay alive. Dark culture's updates have made them less reliant on external support. Doesn't invalidate the strat here though at all. It might be just a bit on the overkill side support wise now.

    The vassals in this game are so underwhelming its pathetic and criminal. Any thoughts?
    I mean, you think of all the damn things that you really need a vassal for.. vassals often hold great strategic location… BUT.. You cant deploy troops from their or command them to start raging on near by menace’s….
    Diplomacy is something I never touch either because the NPC’s are so bipolar that EVERY investment in them is a guaranteed disappointment.
    -in general they are waaaay too quick to want to genocide you for minding your own business as you hail on the complete opposite end of the map.
    I dont know alot about these games, but Stellaris diplomacy has the best diplomacy system that I’ve seen in my experience so far.

    Love playing order. First 2 games I won I was playing paladins. Right up my alley!

      I like playing them too! The fighting is a lot of fun, I like using all the supports to mitigate as much damage as possible, feels very satisfying.
