I have no words to describe how GODLIKE this scene is. The beautiful scenery, Godzilla’s roar, and everything else just makes this scene absolutely so good that it’s beyond human comprehension.
There's an aspect of Godzilla's roar in this movie that I can only describe as "deafening" and I know that's on purpose. So much so that you can hardly hear the iconic Godzilla roar sometimes, I love it.

Okay just about every other incarnation in the past has had a really sick roars But this one... You can see that he is pissed off Minus One if you ask me is by far the most angry Godzilla we have ever seen, The way Toho refined the original 54's roar and made it change halfway through almost making it seem like a voice crack in a way. But what really hammers home the rage for me is the position of his fingers, The way how they are clawed upward is just so angry Masterful roar, masterful position, masterful camera angle, masterful cinema This movie was 10 out of 10!
One thing I loved about Minus One is how it used this specific Godzilla roar instead of the main “skreeonk” or a variation of it that we’re used to. The amplified volume of this roar is the cherry on top to make it sound a lot more harsh and deafening
i remeber watching godzilla 2014 in theaters, that roar shook the theater, im sure in this version too could easily shake a theater, you can't touch the king of the monsters
Godzilla 2014 was a cinematic masterpiece in terms of visuals, sound design, and plot, Kong was great and everything else besides KOTM was absolute trash, I wish they just kept the darker tone from 2014
Not the loudest movie ever ( Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, The Net, Interstellar come to mind), but could very well be the strongest/loudest individual sound effect ever created in cinema (Saw in in Imax).
It's because they basically took the original 1954 roar, cranked the volume up to the max, recorded it, and then added some embellishments here and there. Sometimes the most simple ideas have the best results.
It makes sense from a storytelling standpoint. Godzilla’s height always fluctuates depending on the height of buildings in the era. His optimal height is just tall enough to tower over the skyline but not tall enough to completely dwarf it. Hence, when making a movie set in the 1940s it makes sense to shrink Godzilla back down to his OG size as that’s how tall the buildings back then were.

But damn his atomic breath was so powerful. Toho g man would have obliterated legendary Mechagodzilla, plus the city and even send Kong half way across the country 😂
Well he's very much in pain, shooting that nuclear blast probably nearly killed him. But it's a very masochistic pain + roar because he knew damn well that blast killed millions of people.

I watched godzilla minus one in malco theater with my brother and sister that night. And I absolutely loved it.
I like how for a lot of it we Don't even hear the actual Roar because it's just that deafening
