The protagonist keeps experiencing the same thing over and over like how he explores themes of purpose and lack of worth in this world; the cycle is a constant spiral of mundane life, how we experience the same thing over and over. Only difference here is that these character’s experiences crazy stuff over and over snd for the past many years I’ve been experiencing school every day

So it seems the 2 ghosts are the ones who mess with the time loops or exist to see his displeasure.
