I legit almost cried listening to this album. It’s the album that Kelly should have always been able to make. I know it takes time to get anywhere, life wise, so maybe she wasn’t ready/being held back. Some of these songs are the best in her catalog! I love this album 😭😭😭💖💖💖 KELLY FOREVER!

This album is her magnum opus. Masterful - start to finish. Also - Clive Davis was a f*cking moron for ever underestimating her and trying to keep her from writing her own songs. She's always been a gifted songwriter; she knows how to hit you where it hurts and lyrically, this album is next level. So many times I felt like I'd been punched in the solar plexus. lol. As a fan since I was a little kid when she auditioned for Idol, to see her now is amazing. I hate the pain she had to go through to make this record but I'm so grateful for the beautiful music and know it will help a lot of people.
Skip this part made me cry! I'm in my 70s and this brings back some of the emotions of the nasty hurt I experienced during my own divorce 30 years ago!
This album is PHENOMENAL. I truly hope she wins grammys for itt!!!

Lighthouse is my favorite! Skip this part and That's right are the best opening and closing tracks of an album imo! Skip this part gut punches me in the best possible way to prepare me for this amazing album!
This has totally changed the way I hear High Road now so it finally makes sense to me. I thought it was a really odd choice and sound and thought it didn't really fit so much but now I get it and I'm going to enjoy hearing it so much more!
That "down to you" is the one for me!! The chorus to "down to you" became part of me almost immediately!!

So fun to have found a community as excited about Chemistry as I am. I really hope it gets the recognition it deserves commercially, but if not, we all know it's her best!! The songwriting and vocals on this album are incredible. So proud of her evolution and growth.

She deserves to win a Grammy for this album. We’ve gotten bits and “pieces” of her home life and childhood trauma, but this album gives us ALL of that and it’s heartbreaking how relatable it is for some people (myself included).

Rock Hudson is my favorite!! my favorite KC album is All I Ever Wanted. It got me through some tough times in my early 20s and I love when she does rock music. All I Ever Wanted is pure rock.

This might be my favourite Kelly album after My December.
The Rock Hudson reference to me is yes, he was gay but he was putting on a performance for the world since he was closeted / married to a woman at one point while carrying on with men privately (well known secret in Hollywood) and living a lie to the public. His image was completely different from his private life. So their marriage was the same, putting on a public front while things behind closed doors were miserable and they eventually got to a point where they were living a lie too. The Hudson metaphor/reference is perfect honestly. "It was real but it wasn't" sums it up perfectly.

Skip This Part was my favorite song on the album too 😊❤ followed by Favorite Kind of High, Mine, Down to You, My Mistake, Rock Hudson, & Lighthouse. My favorite lyrics on the album are: “By the way Piece by Piece, I found out my hero’s me” & “Just like smoke you breathe me in & out”. Great album!!! Probably her best work to date! My first listen of the album, the only memorable song was "skip this part." SUCHA good intro to the album. I feel like she was trying to give a similar vibe/style that she did for the Billie Eilish cover "happier than ever"!
