FIXED: Unable to Type The Same Key Twice on the Keyboard (Double Letters)

GENIUS! It was so simple (once you explained the trick) . I had the same problem no double letters and I neeeeeeeded help now it works. A bigger question is what happened in the first place to cause the problem of NO double letters! Now I can't wait to try ALL those double-letter words or even using the Back keys to skin all over the screen! Thank you soooooo very much!!!!!

I'm having this exact problem with my keyboard, but Filter Keys isn't enabled at all; the keyboard driver is fine, and I also restarted my laptop, but nothing's wrong, apparently.
Edit: The problem went away by itself after a while. Unsure why, but I'll take it.

Next time, if it happens put filter on - then restart - then take it off and restart, you will find that it works.

My problem is that it works intermittently, so sometimes it's ok but then the next time it won't work. Clicking slow or fast no letter appears. Filter on and off doesn't fix it. I have taken the actual key top off and cleaned it below, but it hasn't helped. Just the one letter it affects but since its the A its used alot.
Anything else I can do ?
