I'm a big fan of the airbrush method. As much as the others are "more finished" stuff like the black still showing through in the corners of the shoulderbads/where the backpack meets the armor would, personally, drive me nuts. I think it would have been by far the best one if the undercoat/prime was done with a richer colour, for instance like a reddish-brown.
The airbrush is the best method for batch painting with a good quality I think It can do better than the two other techniques if you have to paint more than 5 models I guess :)
Haha you are from the cult genestealer ? 3 differents methods all at once, you should have 4 arms :p Yes for batch painting I think that these three method could be really helpfull :)
Haha yes I am! The invasion has already come to holy terra. But I airbrush for the base. Stipple for edge highlights, and thinned contrast to blend to colors together.
They all look great, but the drybrushing method looks the best. The airbrush is good, but only when you are painting large quantities. If I am in a hurry, I can almost guarantee that my airbrush will decide to clog up completely.
My favorite one is the last. In fact, my go to method is some mix of the three: 1) I prime with the airbrush in a contrasting color to the main one, for example in this case I would prime in dark green or dark blue. 2) I overbrush (heavy drybrush) with the main color, in this case red. 3) I do the soft drybrush/stippling for the lights with an off white. 4) I will airbrush with contrast paint or ink, red again. Up to here I'm less than 20 mins in, for sure. 5) Now it's about doing the details, and here one can put as much or as little as wanted... You should also try Trovarion's sponge method. Is super fast and it looks pretty good too!

Such an underrated channel - i hope you get many more subscribers.
Thank you very much :)
So I used all three of these methods at once. I don’t get them done in 30 minutes, but it’s the best method I have found for batch painting.
