Brian Downey was so great he wasn't a drunk or a baffoon that's why mainstream never gave him the attention but real musicians and fans knew better
Sykes was a fkn animal brought a whole new dimension to the band., gutted philo was taking so early.,my 1st ever gig lizzy in the ambassador dublin 2003 met john and scot afterwards fkn legends
RIP John Sykes
Sykes gets on board and $hit definitely starts to rock.
Was there on the night 40 years ago today..Epic night..

Sykes and Gorham - the guitarduo from hell! I love this guys
I've just recently discovered Thin Lizzy. I just discovered how GREAT A BAND they are, not were. I say this because some music hits you with the same verosity today just has hard as when it first came out years ago. THIN LIZZY IS A GREAT BAND !!!!
Richard Simmons Never is tío late too discover the greatness of Thin Lizzy!

@@JohnSykesFan Johnny, is really you? Sykes?
Well Said 🤘
Excellent. Great Band.
Brian Downey has always been one of my favorite Drummer's.
He is so underestimated.🤘🤘🤘
Those guys were kick ass
Sykesy what ever band you played in it’s like you turned the band up another notch ! 💪
I still liked Brian Robertson the most. Had that particular style that complimented TL.
One of the great show opener songs. Lots of good versions. One of their best is Loreley, Germany '81. Great pyrotechnics to start the song.
Just an amazing band at its finest!! Pure class power and perfection ❤️
We need your music John Sykes. You surely know how to Rock!!!!
now days, music is totally crap and ruined, you never gonna get anything like Thin Lizzy,, such a great music and band
Great band . thanks a lot!
Onr of the best rock bands, so perfect songs and amazing, thank you Phil, John Sykes and Scot for this fantastic music.
Masterpiece!!! Thin Lizzy ❤️❤️❤️
Love these guys and what a top class act!
How is Brian Downey not regarded with the likes of Bonham and Moon?
Because he doesn't showcase it the same. Doesn't mean he is not amazing? It's what you hear!
@@michaelbrown3128 Indeed! Listening to the 3-disc Thin Lizzy "Collected" in the car. I tell my 15 year old "listen to the drummer, rarely plays anything twice."
Brian Downey liked fishing more than being a rock star. Lovely to see him always wearing lumberjack shirt etc. while other guys had all the glitter on them. Phil Lynott respected Brian Downey the most of all Thin Lizzy players.
I always asked myself that question.
He is incredible
Agreed.
GREAT!
Are you ready Dublin!
Totally awsome video!
Happy 67th birthday Philo.
hell yeah!!! makes u wanna jump around the place and just break things xDDD
Happy Birthday Philip Lynott.
brilliant version thanks for posting it
wow
👍👍👍😁🤟
Awesome video! Now that Gary Moore's gone, John Sykes is the best proper rock guitarist out there. Is this available on DVD?
best Scott Gorham there
Yes if someone only knows 5 guitar players in the world he could be the best out of those 5.
@@peteyoung7665 that was such a worthwhile comment. Thanks for sharing.
@mnhay27 Yeah, is on sale on DVD.
Shame the sound engineer didn't turn John Sykes up when he started his solo so we could hear it. Doh.
La fin n'était pas loin.... Phil le plus econoclaste ..
👍 👍 👍
L&G, JOHN FUCKING SYKES
Bad sound 1983
Yeah vinyl pressing in the UK was iffy in 80s also
@@abdullahmohammady7568 the sound of thin lizzy 1981 is very good but the sound in 1983 is very bad.
