    • @bread-xe4ot

If only that's how it works... acceptance rate depends on how many people the college accepts (usually fixed) and the amount of people applying to it. So one person getting into Yale would mean taking the opportunity away from another person. Acceptence rate decreased during covid as applicants skyrocketed.

      Year 3-2
This is actually true as a genius in a normal city road school as a toddler I ALWAYS banged my head against the wall one time i banged my head one time one time banged it on the pavement so hard that I became alot smarter then before and I never banged my head again so anyways in year 3 or 2 I realised wait... why do I keep on doing the same thing over and over each year but harder then thats when it clicked to me I realised its not about how smart you are it's about how good your memory and listening skills are and attention you're not learning new things your just memorising the old things it's not "learning" it's memorisation so when I got home I Googled schools origin in order to find out why they do this to people's life's and I found "it was originally made for factory workers to be more obedient as to make it easier to make them do work so they decided at a young age children will be taught to listen and memorise" in 1850 skip 172 years and the only changed things are schools have technology and for children to memorise useless things that they'll forget this is why your not able to socialise in class freedom of speech going to the bathroom or even looking somewhere else this is essential now in todays society not factory workers if people don't socialise then the society will collapse as if you don't know anyone then it's basically going to crumble it from the bottom as it's harder to make friends as a child then as a adult in today's times
      Year 6
The worst thing about these schools are the teachers in primary school the teachers can make you feel like shit I'm in the last year of garbage and I feel like shit I feel like I want to burn the whole school down this teacher miss Morris thinks I'm only a child and I won't give a fuck about her racism to me where as I'm asian and she's white treats me like I don't exist I'm smart enough to know someone just by a few details of a first meeting just by behaviour I was stuck on a question (suprisingly) and didn't even care she said look at that again and then straight up told another student who IS A TROUBLEMAKER BUT INDIAN who litreally is disgusting oh the answer is -------------- her bitch ass wasn't getting away with just that I have abnormal hearing and can hear 2x then normal and I copied it as soon as I heard that
You see if someone says something I will listen to it and that's why people don't talk around me about secrets or gossiping
Everyone in this school even the teachers knows that I shouldn't even be in this school like bro a litreal genius in a normal school
AND THIS WHITE ASS MORRIS COMES UP TO ME AND SAYS DO YOU WANT TO FAIL
Look do you not know I'm asian (joke)

I was sick ok I had stomach indigestion the pain would make me create a new language and I did iurbh4u4yuv34wfgui43bwf8dguirsbub
So the next day when I got rid of extreme pain like I was only in like medium ish pain I couldn't focus right so i just guessed my practice sats multiple choice I knew I had a 1/4 chance of doing it but I didn't care and she said I would put my life on the line that none of you would fail WALKS UP TO ME AND SEE THAT I GUESSED AND SAYS DO YOU WANT TO FAIL like wtf but thats me complaining about shit pre -factory education

Why not? Have you already graduated from college or want to get a job that dosen’t require a college degree, in which case that’s fine, But if it is because you don’t think you can get into a good college that’s not true. Even if you have sub par grades and sat scores, sat scores can be repaired by studying and retaking it, and you can work hard to improve your future grades. Even if its too late for that you can still use your personal essay to save your application by explaining how you matured over high school and explaining why you got lower grades. (“I worked hard in high school but could not get good grades because I had to work 5 hours a day every day after school and so I didn’t have time to study as much” ) Colleges need students as much as students need colleges and if you work hard I am sure you will get accepted to some decent college.

Thats also what I think. GPA is way too subjective because a high gpa can be attributed to easy teachers, cheating during online school, or other factors such as easy course content. On the otherhand, an SAT is a more accurate indicator of intelligence and work ethic because although its possible to cheat on it, it is much more difficult to cheat on an SAT than in online classes. And I'm saying this as someone who cheated in my online classes. SAT should be taken way more seriously than gpa.

I struggle so hard with school, and I have really low grades. And it’s not like I don’t try. I try so hard in every class. I try to understand everything. • @p1kkuma
      @p1kkuma 2 года назад +1

To be completely honest with you, you’re gonna need to keep up with your assignments, if not anything else. (At least, the ones that actually count towards your grade). I know people are busy, and I’m sure you’re very busy too! I work two jobs, and volunteer, and take care of my sister outside of school. But unfortunately school is a time consuming thing, and in uni it’s going to be even worse. I feel like no one ever told me how time consuming uni would be lol. Uni (at least first year) is way way more time consuming than high school (though it depends on your schedule and courses), so unfortunately you’ll have to get used to it if you’re planning to go to uni. But it’s absolutely possible to do! Make sure to keep a calendar or to do list and check it every single day! That way you’re not going to miss or forget any assignments. And try to complete at least 1 thing each day, if you can! That way you get things done early. And don’t be afraid to ask your teacher, or peers for help if you’re having trouble on an assignment or understanding material.
Of course, you don’t need to get into uni though, don’t think it’s your only choice of career either. I recommend talking to your counsellor/advisor about your career options :) best of luck to you!

For highly selective places like Yale, this is true, but this does NOT apply to most state schools. A high SAT or ACT will definitely help if you happen to have a GPA below average for a state school. I got rejected from a bunch of school even though I still presented myself as a strong student, I just screwed up big time. Stop chasing these top tier schools and put emphasis on quality study and education, networking, start ups etc. These ivy League schools will always have the power over Asians so the more you sue them, it only proves how much sought after they are for Asian students to still sue them for a chance to get in.
Just stop giving them more value than they are worth. If you know you are a good student with good work ethic, you don't need ivy League schools to be successful. Prove to them you are the factor, not them

That makes sense because taking the SAT puts a lot of pressure on the person taking it, which might lead them to performing worse than someone who might be cooler under pressure. The reason the SAT score does not make up for low grades is because low grades could be a sign that the student does not work hard or turn in homework.
