They need to go back to it. I know so many of my generation and younger who cannot read an analog clock. At the same time, I literally had a full-grown woman (over 35) look at her analog watch and genuinely ask me what was ticking on the face of the watch.

Yep, biscuts = bikkies tin of beer = tinnie bottle of beer = stubbie (ok, that is weird) We Aussies are a strange bunch....but we did give the world the word 'selfie'
Even though this was 30 minutes, it was very easy to watch all the way through as if time flew by. One positive thing with Australian lollies is that they will always contain real cane sugar, and never any corn fructose syrup (we have a large cane sugar industry and don't need to support a corn industry like the US). There are variations in the recipe of the Australian and UK Cadbury chocolate. The UK variety has about 5% vegetable fat (usually palm oil and shea butter), which gives it oddly, a more interesting flavour. The Australian recipe added these fats in 2009, but quickly removed them again with customer complaints. It's often said that the Australian recipe has to be tweaked a little to resist slightly higher average temperatures. But I can't be sure about that. What does make the Australian recipe more distinctive though is the difference in milk, and it's usually slightly less sweet than the UK (and a lot less sweet than the US). It really is though what you're used to. Worth trying New Zealand Whittaker's Chocolates. Btw Echinda is "Ee-kid-na". It's one of only two monotremes (the Playtpus being the other. Both native to Australia). A monotreme is a mammal that lays eggs.
Glenn Stewart The tweeking Of The recipe for us is true otherwise it’s gonna melt within minutes even on a day like today in Adelaide where it’s freezing. Cadbury is meant to melt in your mouth: not all over your fingers, clothes, furniture, car seat... 😕
@@C21L01 strangely though, the EU actually uses cocoa butter like Australia and outlaws the use of vegetable fats. But must be said, the UK's use of vegetable fats does make it more melt worthy (even if it's not exactly the real deal).
Aaah I love British accents!! I was so satisfied hearing their voices. Finally not some Americans drawling all the vowels. Plus they're so calm and they don't just scream into the camera like every other RUclipsr.
Lol the echidna is pronounced uh-kid-na, they are fascinating creatures. Also if you like funny things, watch zefrank 1's true facts videos they are hysterical.
@@ThisWithThem lol omg I love you guys, zefrank 1 has some really funny videos about animals. I wouldn't recommend watching them with younger people because they are sometimes not appropriate, he sounds like Morgan Freeman and his reactions to something's are just great.
In Australia Cadbury changed their recipe a couple of years ago so the chocolate didn’t melt as easily. Australians definitely weren’t happy about this. Personally I buy imported British Cadbury chocolate from speciality shops because I don’t like the new Australian recipe. I’m visiting the UK next year and think I will need an extra bag to bring back all the chocolate lol. Oh also the little spike animal on the chocolate wrapper, the Echidna. It’s pronounced E -kid - na. Take care guys !
I've lived in Australia all my life and I have not once had or even seen a chokito. Do any other Aussies know what state/territory they're popular in? Also I love those tic tocs. When I was learning to read analog clocks I remember I had to read the time on them before I could eat them. They were out way before tik tok btw. Also, if you put ovalteenes in milk they become the ovalteen milk drink. But they can also be eaten straight.
My favourite aussie snacks Icecream- milo cup Powder drink- milo Biscuit- Tim tam Chips- smiths salt n vinegar Cracker-cheesy crackers Chocolate-chomp or chokito (it’s hard to choose) Soft drink-Schweppes raspberry drink/ raspberry lemonade (soft drink brands call raspberry lemonade something else) As a kid, a big treat for me we’re the tic tok iced biscuits with 100s &1000s. Another thing is it’s not aussie but a supermarket we have is named Woolworths (woolies for short), each supermarket has their bakery so their bakery sells mini cupcakes that tast amazing as a sometimes treat!

Carbury chocolate is the most popular chocolate in australia

“G’day mate”
All Australian
“Oh don’t say that” looking disgusted
I’m Australia and my mouth was watering the whole time
Golden Generation
Lol I just read this and noticed my mouth is so watery too, lucky I have some - streets chocolates 😋

Plus they're so calm and they don't just scream into the camera like every other RUclipsr.
cloudysophie agreed
Arnotts have over 125 varieties of biscuits! It’ll take you a little while to get through them all 😂🙌
26:47 “a cheed na” bro that got me mad af
I can't believe they don't know what echidna's are!
Ohhhh bless!! Stuff that we don't think twice about was all so special and new to you!!! Enjoy xx
I from Australia and cabry probably is the most bought because I always have it
Dancing Bananas do you mean Cadbury?😂
Cadbury is amazing 😍
And dunkaroos were my favourite snack at school back in the 90's 😅🙊
Having a barbie for Christmas is pretty common in Australia 🍻
Lol the echidna is pronounced uh-kid-na, they are fascinating creatures. Also if you like funny things, watch zefrank 1's true facts videos they are hysterical.
No way haha . We totally got that wrong 😂 Thanks for letting us know. I'll have to check that out!!
@@ThisWithThem lol omg I love you guys, zefrank 1 has some really funny videos about animals. I wouldn't recommend watching them with younger people because they are sometimes not appropriate, he sounds like Morgan Freeman and his reactions to something's are just great.
Bubbles W. It’s e - kid - na
allgood nowman yes.
allgood nowman you don’t say it as “uh kid na” it’s e kid na🤦🏻♀️
I am so happy you love Australian foods
JUMPYS ARE LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE CHIPS EVER!!!
Here in the states we had Dunkaroos when I was a kids 😍
Mandy Robinson still have them here in Canada
Thanks Heather. I guess I've never really looked for them specifically. Maybe I'll check next time. That would be lovely to find.
They were so so so good! Basically cookies with a side of frosting to dip into! I miss them!
Love, love, LOVE, Alex's new look (no hat!). That Aussie animal is pronounced "ah - kid - na".
Yay glad you like it!
Ahh thank you Lory!
who else got instantly triggered when she pronounced it meelo not milo
i know right, its MY-LOW
Proves that Aussies have the best snacks
In Australia Cadbury changed their recipe a couple of years ago so the chocolate didn’t melt as easily. Australians definitely weren’t happy about this. Personally I buy imported British Cadbury chocolate from speciality shops because I don’t like the new Australian recipe. I’m visiting the UK next year and think I will need an extra bag to bring back all the chocolate lol.
Oh also the little spike animal on the chocolate wrapper, the Echidna. It’s pronounced E -kid - na.
Take care guys !
the sausage on bread is what we call a "sausage sizzle" and are absolutely delicious!! 😍😍
Is there something special about the bread? I usually find that the bread isn't the right size or dense enough to be able to hold a sausage.
Hi Kate we do have things like the iced vovo here in the uk if I see them I will let u know what they are called x
Thank you Natasha!! 😀
oh the good old Bunnings Sunday Sausage Sizzles 😂😂😂
I've lived in Australia all my life and I have not once had or even seen a chokito. Do any other Aussies know what state/territory they're popular in? Also I love those tic tocs. When I was learning to read analog clocks I remember I had to read the time on them before I could eat them. They were out way before tik tok btw. Also, if you put ovalteenes in milk they become the ovalteen milk drink. But they can also be eaten straight.
Madison Spencer we have them in Victoria
Chokito is huge in Qld
My favourite aussie snacks
Icecream- milo cup
Powder drink- milo
Biscuit- Tim tam
Chips- smiths salt n vinegar
Cracker-cheesy crackers
Chocolate-chomp or chokito (it’s hard to choose)
Soft drink-Schweppes raspberry drink/ raspberry lemonade (soft drink brands call raspberry lemonade something else)
As a kid, a big treat for me we’re the tic tok iced biscuits with 100s &1000s.
Another thing is it’s not aussie but a supermarket we have is named Woolworths (woolies for short), each supermarket has their bakery so their bakery sells mini cupcakes that tast amazing as a sometimes treat!
