Social media causes a lot of jealousy because people only present their fun moments. You can't see the internal worlds of these social media fun personalities. There is no need to be jealous of these social media fun personalities because no amount of fun moments can change our relationship to our own inner world and make us happy.

This is probably why so many young people are struggling terribly. Their lives are filled with planned activities and little screens telling them what they're supposed to be (even though it's fake!) How funny it is that every time I think about how I haven't seen a video from you in a while, they start showing up again. I hope some young people are seeing your messages, too.

It’s very clear Noah I agree with you 200% social media is causing people comparing themselves with others Constantly and take the happiness within themselves away

I deleted all scrollable social media from my phone and even deleted my account in some.of them. It is great. I sleep a lot more and have more vivid and long dreams that I can remember the next day. The screen-scrollable social apps are the worst thing that was created for people's psych, specially kids. It's a no brainer why so many kids are suffering from mental issues

Great video Noah, I remember I used to feel bad when I would watch videos of people travelling the world on social media. Taking a global or historical perspective helped me with that. The global perspective because a huge proportion of people in the world will never leave their home country, especially if they live in the third world. And the historical perspective, only a few hundred years ago most people were medieval serfs who rarely left their village/town.

It really hard when your wanting to be content with life but my wife and family are always seeking more and more because they want to experience more in life honestly what else is there to this life other than little happy moments and memories also having a bucket list to do things before you die is a good thing whether it make me happy or sad doesn’t mean anything, you take the good with the bad life isn’t alway going to make you happy I understand that but doing nothing with it is pointless and a waste of life. I’m making the most of my life before I die. Seeing other people happy yes it creates envy but it normal to feel that we all feel envy it human nature we all have this animal instinct to be envious to deny it is to go against our nature.

    Thank you Noah.
I have always said the same thing. But at the same time I didn’t feel good enough because I am not doing all of these « fun » « cool » staff majority of people are doing.
It feels good to hear and see I am not the only who thought that external activities are temporary, at the end day is about how I feel about myself and with myself when I am alone. 💛

So we should enjoy our own company. My inner world is controlled by the environment we live in. I can’t change that tell me Noah how do we escape it and how do I stay happy in every situation what do I need to do exactly it feel just to be happy is to deny your reality when really you need to constantly improve make more money give your kids attention do the chores do do and constantly do more to get more love and respect and not going for the next high make yourself look boring and lazy to my family

I hear you. It's not a quick fix. We simply must meet one painful emotion at a time, and try to take care of it. Then day by day, our internal world gets more relaxing and enjoyable.
