Many complain about Arifureta having a harem, but what they fail to notice is that Hajime *evidently* chose Yue before the other girls even appeared. Also, the other girls keep Hajime grounded, and they're 100% behind him, which is a contrast to his former classmates

I have loved this anime for years and I'm so happy season 2 is finally streaming I hope this anime can continue and stay as good as it is now. Probably my favourite anime yet

Don't bash others because you don't like, that said constructive cristicm is always welcome and you're free to like whatever you want same as they are. This and Steins;Gate (the entire series, second season, and movie) are my favorites of all time. I have lots of favorite animes on my shelf, but ever since this was first announced and I first saw it I fell in love with it immediately. It's not a perfect show by any means, but I enjoy it for what it is and more and it'll hold a special place in my heart forever. I, too, cannot wait to see a season 3.

It’s all cuz they messed up with the first season. If they would have made 1 season per volume instead of shoving 4 volumes into one season then the anime would be extremely popular and one of the best

The original studio tried to make tons of changes to character designs and personalities, when the author refused they just kept pushing, the author couldn't get help from his publishers so decided to tell the fans by including a breakdown in the author notes of the WN, as well as showing the concept designs they were pushing to the fans through social media. The studio got mad at him for outing them and punished him by internally sabotaging the anime. They scrapped its budget and didn't work on it for months, but as they had signed a contract they still had to put it out. So they passed the scenes they made beforehand to a subsidiary company with a team of newbie animators. They gave them next to no budget and the deadline was close, so this team had to string together the already made scenes. This is why there is a missive art quality gap scene to scene. The new team of animators tried their best but just didn't have the time or budget which left a lot of bad cg and pacing as they pretty much had to use all the already made scenes to fill the episode times, so as some of those were from rather far into the story they just had to get to them. Its also why the first dungeon had so much of the screen time, they didn't cut any scenes or do any trimming. But yeah their was actual maliciousness and spite at play in why the first season is the way it is, not just a mess up.
Slowly but surely, he is going from protagnist to god. Learning stuff like changing matters properties, controling natural forces, controling spirits and so on.
Truly an amazing anime, but the story as a whole beyond the anime is where Arifureta really shines. Arifureta really deserves the praise it gets, the characters are very well written and the common notion about caring for the world you’re in and it’s people is actually flipped, making it so much more realistic. Why should anyone care for the happenings in a world that isn’t your own when you were stolen from yours? Hajime has the most realistic reaction of wanting to save essentially only those he cares about and leave this world to return to Japan. And of course I can’t forget about the OPs, both in English and both absolute Bangers. The only thing I have to say is that sadly this anime still isn’t my number 1, that spot belongs to Konosuba, but this is a solid number 2, and if we’re getting technical it’s my number one for action. Here’s to season 2 and hopefully season 3!!!
Bro Nagumo is actually a pro gamer. He's a low-hp assassin that utilizes his defensive skills and dodges effectively. His reaction times are insane. He grinds monsters 24/7 while the other gamers play castle tea party. He has a strong mentality when other players flame him (tilt proof). Gamers...if we get Isekei'd into a fantasy world, we set boi.
Can’t believe I used to skip this OP as I watched this season ongoing back in winter 2022 earlier this year. I was so stupid. I never gave it a full listen to. I only listened to like the first 10 seconds and that was it. But once I gave it a full listen to later on after the season finishes, as soon as the chorus of the song neared, man I was HOOKED! Learned the lyrics as you can see from my other comment and I still listen to it everyday to this day. I could just imagine how much more joy I would have had if I hadn’t skipped it back in winter 2022. Regrets. I love how with the latest OVA they changed the animation for the chorus. Instead of the fight with Noint, it’s with the four labyrinth liberators in the OVA. Nice touch. So happy they played the OP in the OVAs too. Of course I didn’t skip it this time 😂 I sang along happily
Anyone else hyped for the next ova out in September which will have Hajime meets four of the Liberators and is probably to test the water Ari Zero anime

While I still think the season opening was better, this season's opening did grow on me. Also hoping there's a season 3 later on cause the point this season will end is roughly 2/3rds of the way through the novels anyway.
