This song is played at my mother’s funeral with organ played on the chapel and piano at a memorial service.

Insomnium was founded in 1997 in Joensuu Finland. 8 albums. This is the title song of an album that reached number one on Finnish album chart. They've had another number one album too.
It is crazy how many metal bands are coming from Eastern Finland. In Joensuu there were 177 metal bands (2018) --> 233,4 metal bands per 100 000 inhabitants when Finland's metal density is only 53,2.
This is something I def. could get into. I've been meaning to check this band out for a while. Great songwriting. Mellow slower sound are deceptively simple but actually take a lot of musical exp. to write.

A faster and heavier song by them which I highly recommend is Drawn To Black. One of my favorites.
Regarding best music videos, it's gonna be very difficult to beat Rammstein - Deutschland. The production value and attention to detail in every shot is pretty god damn impressive!

Best melodic death metal band..by far.
The only ones that can come close..are Amorphis and Belakor
My favorite has always been Death with individual thought pattern, symbolic and sound of perseverance. But i have been enjoying insomnium so much and recorded another reaction for this week!
@@BaldHeadedMETAL Well..Death is among the first metal bands I listened, great orchestration to their music. Great band :-) The genres are very different however :-) I tend to go towards the more melodic considering I'm a Depeche Mode fan :-))
@@adriantoma9405 Last two albums were super melodic...i mean they were credited as being one of the first death metal more melodic along with inflames, dark tranquility and carcass. So much so Chuck got hate from Black Metal and Death Bands for making the music "soft"...
