I'm late to this but I agree with you about the comparison with the most famous instrumental acts. I do like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Ingwie Malmsteen, but Asterism are on another level for me, partly because music has just progressed, but mainly because they are not all about the guitarist. Hal-Ca gets the most attention, but Miyu (probably my favourite bassist) and Mio are just as important. For me, they are spot on with the use of vocals. That is, most of their songs are instrumentals, but Hal-Ca occasionally sings, and they do collaborations with vocalists (I recommend their cover of the anime intro Unravel, with Pellek, and their cover of In the Mirror by Loudness, with Maki Oyama). But if they decide to introduce more regular vocals, I'll understand and keep supporting them.
This is one of their earliest songs. Most of the songs off of Ignition were pretty old school hard rock/heavy metal. For something completely different from the same era react to Yunagi (there is a battle session video of it). Also as far as more reactions there is plenty of Asterism to react to! You've only done one off of the new album, Animetic, and I would recommend Kyouran Hey Kids or KaiKai Kitan.

PS: Great reaction again. Asterism is too one of my favourtes bands. Avatar, Ad Infinitum, BlackBriar, Lovebites, Helloween, Alien Weaponry, Nemophila, Nightwish, Grand Magus, BSR, Manowar, The Warning , Marillion... are some of the other bands i listen more.
I hear you on the vocals but I think a lot of Asterism fans would disagree. First off if they do vocals they will most likely be in Japanese so you probably won't be singing along anyway. But for me there is too big a chance that vocals will ruin the experience. I think any "traditional" metal vocals will not go with this music. I did like the PelleK collaboration but not any of the other vocal collaborations they have done. At this point they have been together for 8 years and adding something and someone new to the mix has too much chance to mess this band up.

Please listen to Vola again. These Black Claws is an amazing track from them.
