I just wanted to note that neither of those iron-on vinyl products are food safe. Pellon recommends using their Lamifix product for projects that will touch food. :)
I used the heat and bond on the lining of a cosmetic bag. after a few weeks, it began to peal and crack. I haven't used it again because I didn't like the results at all.
Can you talk about how you used the iron-on vinyl onto both sides of one of the wrappers? How much cooling time do you need between applying it on each side?
Does a handbag wear well after using for a while with these products? Do u have a regular bag to show with these products to show? Thankyou very much for great informative videos!!
I made a makeup bag (cube-shaped) with Pellon’s Vinyl Fuse adhered to exterior quilt cotton in Spring/Summer 2023. I followed the manufacturer’s directions while applying it. I noticed it separated even when I tried to birth the bag and tried hitting it with more heat to re-adhere. It was only a temporary fix. The bag got heavy use on a trip. While the vinyl kept the cotton from getting wet on the bathroom counter of the hotel, it did not remain adhered to the quilt cotton! It bubbled up and separated anywhere there wasn’t a seam. I was disappointed and won’t be working with that material again. BTW once it becomes overheated, the vinyl becomes cloudy. I was willing to let that go because it was a test project just for my use (low stakes), but ultimately this stuff isn’t worth using on bags for sale. The business might suffer from the vinyl failing to perform as promised.
What an adorable party favor this would be! Thank you for showing us!

I had similar results.
Thanks for the video. Should it be iron on vinyl? Can we use Adhesive vinyl?
Is the wrinkling from the candy bags?
This is awesome! Thank you for showing the options.
I LOVE the candy bag pouches and have to make them. Just worried about melting the candy bags when ironing on the vinyl.

Protip: You can watch the video in 2x speed if you're impatient like I am.
Thanks! Love it!

I love the candy wrapper bags! Can you do a video on how to make the start to finish?
Missouri Star Quilt Company has a video on this.
@@theresabruntom5435 and its a marvelous video!
The Crafty Gemini has a free tut for this kind of bag.
Thanks for the instruction! Why does it need iron-on vinyl when the candy bag is already of a similar finish?
without the vinyl the bag could be torn easily and would not last long.
Do you know if this can be done with old newspaper, magazine, photos … or artwork that’s on paper or canvas?
i was going to ask the same, also what about potato chip bags?
Are there any instructions on making the zipper pouch?
I need to know this also! She did a wonderful job 👏
Got a question 🤔. Is heat n bond be use for snack bags, food save.
Can both sides of the fabric be covered with the vinyl?
thanks for the demo...
Can you apply this to knit or lycra? Thanks
Did you get any pulling away of the pellon product?
Do you know if you can fuse two layers of either product onto a single layer of fabric?
sure
Were to get iron on vainly
Do you think you could use this laminated fabric with a cricut?
yes!~
😍😍😍😍😍
I used a credit card to put it on. Way smoother I don't use the iron
This was very confusing and not for beginners
I went to two different places today and I can’t find the heat and bond vinyl. Boohoo
JoAnn Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, quilt shops???
A lot of unnecessary talking ..just demonstrate
quit all the damn talking! How about giving us a demonstration on what the product is about instead of all the chitchatting you're doing!
Just speed it up to listen faster
