You can definitely tell that he only got better throughout the years. There’s a separate video with him doing the ankle breaker during his performances of Rock With You, you should react to that next

He also did it in Rock With You from the Diana Ross special, which I wish had been included. You're definitely right about it being the easiest-looking yet most difficult MJ move.

The Ankle Breaker is probably one of the moves of Michael’s that is hard to do perfect! It is nice to see the evolution of how he did this!
He used it for “Rock with You” and I believe “Don’t Stop Til you get Enough”
I liked the video before watching it all, that’s how much I love Michael Jackson.
This is one of my favorite Michael Jackson dance moves.
I think it’s nice that MJ never changed the ankle breaker move when he does it in Billie Jean, and in other songs. He truly gave fans the same thing that they first saw when first watching a performance of his (like if they watched a performance on tv, then went to see it live). I can do the moonwalk pretty well, but I guarantee that I can’t do the ankle breaker haha. Also, I’d like to recommend you react to the move MJ does in Beat it, where he snaps his fingers at the end of the song. I don’t know if the moves after the finger snapping have a name, but I’d like to see you react to a compilation of that

In the 2000s he added the arm swing like he did in 2001 and 2009
Such a hard move to do..especially pushing off the less dominant foot, swaying the hips and then locking the neck/shoulder
Once the bad tour came around, it gotten more elusive and more head movement. He put alil more flavor on it especially when he hit the cabbage patch with it lol

he changed it on the 1981 tour wit his brother and it’s been like that ever since lol
He had more control as time as went on and it definitely got sharper, as all his signature moves did. But that’s about it lol.

i didn't even know the move had a name lol but i remember seeing it in the rock with you video. but though it looks like a very simple movement, it's very in tune with the music as his hips emulate the rhythm of the horn and heels hitting the ground on the beat of the drum after he "breaks his ankles".

There was a dance called The Rock..the move you calling the ankle breaker was Michael's interpretation of the Rock. That was his genius. Knowing how to catch the eye visually. He studied the greats for that.
I seen some change in ankle breaker in some clips.
Great video as always but ummmm....thats not ankle breaker thats THE ROCK. Been around since the 70s ya first see him do it in.....ROCK WITH YOU VIDEO. He does it all through 79 80 81 when preforming rock with you then he put itbin that part of billie jean. But its a popular dance my grandma use to do it and the whispers made a whole song bout it"rock steady" but they do the traditional rock. Mj rock is on your toes more an of course got the mj swaggggg on it

I think his legs was not big or had weight on it so he was able to do it smooth because he had skinny legs and if u have skinny legs say hehe
Hello, young lady, yet another good video 👍🏾 only one problem I heard, You can't moonwalk? When I was 13 my 11 year old cousin taught me,it looked a little rough at first but smoother with practice, now here's a challenge/request. Now with the days of technology, we can go to the internet for moonwalk lessons 😁 It just ain't right to hear Michael Jackson number one fan can't.....huh iChat? 👍🏾 you got it,it's fun too actually easy as heck.
