    • @josephg41
      @josephg41 4 года назад +2

      I might be outnumbered in this opinion, but I think this should have been an original restoration. It pains me to see a 50 year-old-car, especially a Mustang, ripped apart and modified to hell. I like them original whether or not they were ever fast. Plus original cars are usually worth more. At this point it would be a stretch to even call that car a '66 anymore.

      @muskokamike127 4 года назад +3

      @Pumpkingilmour or not cut the car in half to begin with. There's no reason for all this other than to make life harder. The "big hp" comment in the last video is nonsense. People have been putting 1200 to 1800 hp in mustangs since they were first built. Same as the coyote not fitting. At last count I saw 10 videos where people have dropped 5.0 coyotes in 60's era mustangs.
      As for the glass: new custom glass, new trim, and every body panel except for the doors and front fenders will have to be modified. It would be easy to narrow the front and rear sub-frames and get custom drive shafts made and keep the correct proportions of the original mustang. I've seen widen mustangs before and they look dumb IMO.
      I'll reserve my final decision until he's done but I'm calling it now.......
      BTW: Ken Block didn't have to widen his hoonicorn and it's got 1400 BHP.

    You must have heard me say ...where's the safety blanket! This takes me back to 1972 . We had a brand new LWB XJ6 with very similar damage.( one of the very first LWB) The owner lost control and wrapped the Jaguar around an oak tree . We fitted a new shell ! Great stuff. Incidently the driver was completely uninjured , the foot well was crushed to about 3inches!! The seat was in a similar state. He was thrown into the passengers compartment!
