- Very stoked on this week's video as I traveled to Bend, OR to photograph Smith Rock and surrounding landscapes. It was a great few days of taking pictures. I was using my Pentax 67 with Portra 400, 800, Ektar 100, and Cinestill 50D.

I love that you try out something different as a film photographer. I am kinda tired of the whole suburban houses and gas stations photographed from a 45° angle. Really loving those night shots in particular.

These are getting to where I have to watch them twice through (with lots of pausing the second time) just to absorb all the photos that I really like. The tree at around 2:30 is awesome. The canyon photos starting around 6:10. And the late night, long exposures... Whoa. I love the outdoors where you live, too. Beautiful.

THIS video was incredible. Obviously great compositions throughout... but I think your "mirror up" heaters, AKA blind shots. Those are the ones that feel the most right? I think without seeing the full composition, and details associated, your gut feeling just is best. No place to think or consider or decide, just gut vibes. Either way loved the content man. I hope Joe and I get to a level even HALF this poetic, well made, and honest.

I’m really glad I’ve stumbled upon your channel, sadly I’ve been in a rut, especially when it comes to studying, but this video reminded me how much I love nature and wilderness and photography. I’m a natural sciences student and I’ve recently gotten back into film photography, now I’m pretty excited to pick up my camera and go on a trek!!

I think this is the third (no, second?) time where you've preferred the lockup photo - It'd be kind of cool to see what a whole roll shot like this would end up like
And I just want to say, that photo at 5:49 is an absolute monster of a photograph. The colors, the details, the vastness, the moon and that majestic eagle (I presume) really intrigues me.
I'm not much into shooting landscapes, but seeing these shots makes me want to go sleep in the woods for a week with no mobile - taking it all in

Wow this was really cool, it reminds me of David Brookover landscape work out in Wyoming. The colour palette in this group of shots you took are warm, and filled with rich details. Especially that photo of the cliff faces at 6:25 in the video. I loved this. Thanks man. Cheers

Also that narration bit around 10:00 is a whole outdoor company commercial
Blew almost a full roll right at that spot. The way the fence, river, grass, and backdrop all came together was too perfect. Love finding gems like that!
