Even thought it's being built by CRRC, this is a much needed replacement for the a650 trains. I'm sorry but those trains have aged HORRIBLY in my opinion, especially cars 531-604. The Breda trains need to go.
Imagine waiting for the B Line, and then this starts pulling into the station while saying Test Train, like when the R262's for the NYC Subway would sometimes pull into the station while saying Test Train
Littrely looks like a train model from the 1990s, when you have the chance to get a new train why... why did they not get something up to modern standards... Hopefully, the seats are not made of plastic.😂
Since the D (Purple) Line will open 3, 5, 7 new stations in the future, it makes sense on operate it on the Purple Line. New Stations, new trains. Red Line - Breda’s Purple Line - Yellow Bredas
I think they are going to mix it with the exsisting fleet, add extra trains for the new extension and for the 2028 Olympics & then after the 2028 Olympics, they will probably then start phasing out the older subway cars.

Then after the games, the retire the last of them. I am thinking maybe the last one could be retired at the end of 2028 or early 2029
Looks like LA Metro has already received 64 cars and the new cars will be deployed over the next 6-8 months. They probably want to switch over to the new cars before the 2026 World Cup and 2028 Olympics because they can carry more passengers than the current cars.

This is just my opinion, but if LA Metro wants to improve service throughout the county, here are a few suggestions: -Metro should replace Big Blue Bus, Culver City Bus, Montebello Bus Lines, Monterey Park Spirit Bus, and Torrance Transit with LA Metro Bus and/or Metro Busway. -Hire employees from these bus companies and take control of their current routes. -LA Metro Rail should fully convert its light rail lines (A,C,E, and K) into rapid transit lines by switching all of them to HR4000 rail cars. -LA Metro Rail should expand its B and D lines. -LA Metro Rail seriously needs to expand throughout the county to the point that it connects Burbank, Carson, Compton, Covina, El Monte, Lancaster, Malibu, Montebello, Monterey Park, Pacoima, Palmdale, Pasadena, Pico Rivera, Rosemead, Sylmar, Torrance, and West Covina.
Nice trains but sadly the homeless and drugs addicts will ruin these trains so fast ugh!!! not to mention already the smell of urine at nearly EVERY station, THIS IS WHY NO ONE uses LA Metro at all
