Hey hope you've been well 👋
We're testing out the Juno-X. Not sure if we're gonna keep it. Need to do a few more productions with it before we decide.
The vocal acapella for this jam is on our Patreon if you wanna flip it: www.patreon.com/posts/78232328
And if you're thinking about buying gear, using our affiliate links directly supports what we do ❤❤

The x synths are super good. If you have a keyboard with aftertouch I highly recommend the xm. If you like sliders keep the Juno I really like the different engines on the xm poly sh101 is awesome. This is a great demo

The beat is slapping! I never heard the OG juno but this one sounds amazing.

Cool, I often record in midi and run it to outboard gear w/ different patches and fader movements… good stuff.

Sounds awesome! Great sounding synth and the ease of use has been nicely transplanted from the old Juno range along with its classic look... even if I wish they'd just used normal pitch and mod wheels instead of that old time pitch lever... 🙂

I've seen people get some good results with the Juno-x. A pity Zen Core is less impressive in my Roland AE-30 wind synth - I've yet to hear or create a patch that made me go wow but I've heard a number of Juno-x patches I'd happily wear in public.

Do you regret getting the wind instrument?

@@KirklandWilliamsWorkout3000 I don't regret it - it's great for controlling my Neutron-based modular setup. It also works well with the MicroFreak but I've not dug so much into that yet.
What I need to do is make time to really get into the AE-30 to see what it can do but the phone app for programming it is rather slow and finicky to use. The documentation is complete but inscrutable which means hours and hours spent reverse engineering the factory patches to really get to understand it.
One issue is the instrument was developed for typical wind synth players who are into jazz and the factory sounds reflect that. My interest is synth music so I'm looking for a different kind of sound - much more lively and aggressive like non-workstation keyboard synths.

@@unclemick-synths yeah synth modules are the way to go then.. You should be able to connect your widi to the Roland and to whatever synth module of your chiche to get better sounds. I’m not he huge fan of the zen core sound either . I have the Roland ax edge and I never 👎🏾 use the on board sounds. I just connect it to My MinilogueXd module and go to town

Well done! This is great! Track was a little bit loud at the end, would have liked to hear Meem’s voice better. Maybe softer or less active drums.

Th machine looks like the original + High pass filter, like in the Jupiter 4 & 8.
Cool device, did you try creating the legendary Hoover sound?
this sound: Dominion - Natural Born Killer, the "riff" starts at 1minute.

Not yet! Still getting the feel for it. The classic layout is really nice and the faders are hi resolution so it feels legit. Not sure if I like the patch/scene/tone layout system, but that’s probably because I need more time with it.

@@TeftyMeems Did ya check out the song i told ya?
Many songs of this genre in the 90ties used that sound, the saw wave. That one is kinda special.
      I do have Roland MKS-50 + pg-300 stored.
      It has a weird ADSR.
