The Intro was shot and edited by my video assistant Cosmo!
I've decided to do a test shoot in the studio with a Black & White theme.
The goal was to build studio fashion portraits that could make a fashion editorial visual story that we could submit to magazines.
Everything was shot on 3 different cameras: Hasselblad 500c/m, Pentax K1000 & my Canon EOS 80D.
For film stock, I used Fuji Pro 400H, Fuji Pro 160NS, and Ilford HP5 400 Plus.

Im new at film photography and I wanted to know how you choose the shitter speed and aparture? I find it very hard to choose because I don’t want to mess up my film because it’s so expensive, would love if you can teach me/us 🤍

I usually start by choosing the Aperture I want to shoot at.
I determine what F/ stop I want to use by asking myself “How much do I want in focus”.
If I want a lot I would usually put between either f/8 and f/16.
For close portraiture, I would usually be between f/2.8 & f/5.6.
Once I figured what I want, I meter the light at my film ISO & chosen f/ stop.
This will give me a shutter speed reading that I then put on my camera.
And VOILA, you should get a proper exposed photos haha.

Hey, did you use speedlights / flash in general for these? If so, what did you use?
Hey! Yes I did but it’s been so long ago I can’t remember 😅
yo ! I have to ask if you've found editorial clients preferring you to crop the photos as opposed to the 6x6 square shots. I'm really curious if 6x6 is appreciated in editorial work and whether or not a professional photographer who uses a 6x6 camera, like yourself, often needs to leave some room in the frame to crop for fashion/editorial clients.

To be honest it really depends on the clients.
Some wants rectangular photos and are fine with me shooting 6x6.
Others will crop afterwards and some will want rectangular images.
For the latter part, I’ll just put a 645 film back and shoot that way for them!
