    The dating portion sounds like it's much more complicated and a lot of work compared to most other Asian countries.

      I wouldn't say that, it's more complex than western dating that's for sure

    Great video KT. Lots of valuable intel. I like your positive outlook on life there. As a black guy myself planning to stay in Vietnam for an extended time in the future, I'm glad I came accross this video. 😅

    If you wanna get married, come to the north.
    If you wanna go have fun and party, then go down south.

      That's what a local told me 3 years ago and I did just that. The women are WAY better in my opinion in the North then in the South. Life is better in the South!

      @@thestoryofkt agree. They are also much more beautiful in the north as well. But the culture is much more challenging to understand and deal with in the north. The south is more open and patient with foreigners. They are friendly and helpful too.

    Hey, Kev Thornton
    I have already watched your RUclips channel.
    Wow, your video is wonderful. All the videos on your channel are fantastic. But Your video Likes, Comments, and views are low because your Optimization is very poor. Your Optimization, SEO, and Marketing needs to improve your likes, Comments, and views, as soon as possible. Then your sales will increase a lot.

    Hi, I'm Vietnamese, can anyone explain to me the reason why Thai girls have much darker skin than Vietnamese counterparts?

    • @thestoryofkt
      @thestoryofkt  2 месяца назад

      Because they don't care about being in the sun as much as Vietnamese do.

    You mention as a black man you experience racism in Vietnam, so as a black man asking another black man a sincere question, please help me out understand this. Why then are you living there if you constantly face racism?

    • @thestoryofkt
      @thestoryofkt  3 месяца назад +5

      Appreciate the question, it's not overly racism here like in the states. People are more xenophobic here than racist. Honestly they are much more curious about black people than look down on us. It's more like me helping them understand our people, but you gotta be a good person and respectful. Of course there are some that are racist but you would never know it unless you understand Vietnamese.

      @@thestoryofkt fair enough! i lived in Vietnam a few years ago for a short time, but to be fair i didn't feel any negative energy towards maybe because i lived in HCMC and the countryside may be a different story. you live in Hanio, right? I understand the capital is not as refined as the South only because the South was exposed to black folks due to the Vietnam wars, so black men were familiar sites in the country for generations. not so much as the North...i have asked a lot of black Africans about racism, and most of them don't really have issues with racism or overt racism as here in the US, but i suspect it is not in-your-face as in America

    • @thestoryofkt
      @thestoryofkt  2 месяца назад +3

      Yeah, I'm in Hanoi. The North isn't as friendly as the South for sure. You have good people here in the North, but they just not friendly like the people in the South or Central regions. I lived both HCMC and the North, why I'm moving back down to the South later this year. What did you like about living here? I love it, it's not perfect and has so far to go, but the peace I feel living here is priceless. Would you agree?

      @@thestoryofkt absolutely agree with you about the peace and the people in the South. Loved the hustle and bustle of the South. It is said that most of Vietnam's wealth comes from the South. There are a lot of business opportunities in the South if you are well-connected or have the right ideas and capital. That's what I loved about the South., and of course, the endless beautiful women everywhere you turn. LOL
