    A fresh paint job, and it will be good to go.

    I've been thinking. When doing voice overs, maybe it would be best to do the voice over in the same environment as the video was shot. This would make the video more seemless/ flow smoother. So, if I'm doing a voice over of me cutting a tree, then I should record my voice over outside. Same thing with garage footage, voiceover (record) in the garage. I haven't tried it yet, but that's what I've been thinking about.

      That's a really good idea. Definitely something to experiment with.

    Well man, you tried..you tried. I myself gave up plowing. Last season I told everyone that I've taken care of for years that I was done.
    For the last 3 seasons, there has only been plowable snow for 1 week. I must have my bills paid up until April by September, or I'll lose my shiot 😂
    I took one of my old back blades and welded a mount to the back and now it's my box blade for the front of my loader.

      I know what you mean. It's a challenge and requires extra insurance and everything. Inconsistent years make it really tricky to get into. Since I bid on some of those project and seen what this season had been like so far. I think I'm glad I didn't win any contracts. I'll either fix that plow up and resell or keep it around for occasional use. I'd like to focus on wintertime activities that are not as dependant on the weather.

    Compared to the Frankenplow I have on the John Deere at the farm, that thing is MINT! We haven't got much snow up in the snow belt, so I haven't shot any footage of it in action. Hopefully, we get something significant this winter. I am a fan of snow. I miss a real winter.

      Haha me too. If it's gonna be cold, it might as well snow! 😂

    Having many years at dealer who peddled Meyer & Fisher, we always felt the Meyer outscraped the Fishers, but the Meyer elec/hyds were maintenance hungry. I recommend knocking the moldboard trip pivot pins out to clean & grease/neversieze every few years. You won't like it if they sieze and break... Ol' Rosie Budd will be your only hope! That'll be a good plow for you and I hope you can chase down work for it!

      Haha, thanks for the tip! I definitely don't want to find myself working on this thing with a torch 😂

    Enjoyed the video. My motto is, "you buy junk, you get junk". Sometimes it's better to invest a little more money to save time (including down time). especially when in a commercial, money making endeavour. JMHO Good luck.

      Absolutely, I agree 100%. That's why I bought a new rather than used skidloader. I just didn't want to sink a bunch of money into snow work before I knew I had some lined uo for this year.

    Hey sticking 2 pieces of metal together. I recognize that. You keep tinkering with it you'll get it figured out. Got to start somewhere right? Just park it for the rest of the winter? I think not. I think we may see future videos of the plow. good luck.

    • @zaccheus
      @zaccheus  8 месяцев назад

      Haha I hope not. Parked things don't make any money! 😂😂

    Zach might of missed what you paid for it good starter plow for your loader I was always going to make one like yours but ended up buying a 8' arctic sectional for plowing best snow removal piece of equipment I own

      @zaccheus  8 месяцев назад

      I'd love to have a sectional plow or a metal pless. I just need to have a couple years under my belt before I get into something a little more expensive I think.

    I’ve got a really similar setup I bought some years back for a contract. I live in NC an we don’t get much snow an mine was held to the plate with pins so I took the pins off to be able to detach the plate from the plow an then welded a hitch to the plate for moving trailers/chipper. That plate has become so handy an if I need to the plow goes back on relatively easily

      Hey that sounds like a really sweet setup. Great way to make the unit useful while the rest sits 😅

    The only thing that concerns me about that is the excessive wear and tear on the high dollar undercarriage of the skid steer. You better be making some good money with it.

      I hear that is the primary complaint about pushing snow with a CTL. That's why it's not pushing this year though. My bids were too high 😂

    Did I see the mini Ex in the bed and the skid loader on a trailer? What size truck is that? I have an 02 F650 with a single axle and 5.9 Cummins and I feel like I would be pushing the limits with that set up. Maybe not tho.

    • @zaccheus
      @zaccheus  8 месяцев назад

      No, I can't move both machines at once. This truck is a 26k GVWR truck. The axle weights would probably be okay, but this f800 only has a 5.9 cummins and Allison 4 speed and there just isn't enough oompa-loompas to make it happen safely. I'll tow the trailer with some attachments on board, but that's about it. If your 02 has a 24v and a better transmission it might be possible, but not something you want to do every day. This truck also has a 12ft bed which is pretty much necessary. I don't think much could be done with a 10ft bed.

    • @jongsmity8851
      @jongsmity8851 8 месяцев назад

      Ah ok, I was going to say, man that is a heavy load for that truck. Question number 2, why do you put the machine in the bed and the attachments in the trailer? Not saying its wrong or anything, just curious. Probably easier to hook onto the attachments when they are on the trailer instead?

    • @zaccheus
      @zaccheus  8 месяцев назад

      @jongsmity8851 The only trailer I have a is a 7k trailer and the only reason I have it is becaise a client was letting it go for cheap 🤷‍♂️

    Hey man how do you keep your skid steer full of diesel fuel

    • @zaccheus
      @zaccheus  8 месяцев назад

      I just have a 100 gal transfer tank in the back of my pick up. I keep it filled with offroad fuel.
