Don't listen to the haters you did a fine job, ever see a snow pusher blade wear out. You and I both know that chain lift is an old design that allows a plow to lift and float connected to a truck, cutting edge is cutting edge.
Looking good I've got a compact tractor with loader its works pretty good for our small drive. looks like we're going to get decent storm this week. Stay warm and safe and God bless!
How well do tracked skid steers run in snow? Some say they have terrible traction. Looking at buying a skid steer over a tractor. I find skid steers more versatile.
My idea was , use a chain and allow the blade to float. There is an important feature to the design. I put strong positive stop going up. I can then roll the blade mount forward until it hit the stop and then it scrapes. I have the best of both worlds in the design.
You will eat your trip edge and cutting edge more than normal A snow plow is designed to push snow not to be used as a scraper with down pressure To use as a scraper you need a bucket or a dozer blade Yes a dozer blade and a snow plow are different

Bucket float... Problem solved. Rarely even trips the edge. You realize Boss plow have engineered a plow for your vehicle to actually put down pressure. It's nothing new for a snow plow.
That sometimes works depending on the machine The snow plow in the video is a fisher not a boss And boss snow plows have a design flaw They can only be dropped as far as the hydraulic cylinder will allow Have seen problems with lifted trucks with boss snow plows mounted You don’t need to go that far with a snow bucket or a non fixed snow plow
Also don’t needed to use bucket float on my skid steer snow plow isn’t fixed to the frame it moves up and down on two pins separate from the machine attachment plate

Thanks for the video! This makes this same idea I’ve been having easier to understand how to go about it
That made light work of that... all I have is a quad with a small home owners plow for almost 5 acres.. takes a few hrs and alot of tail chasing
Sold me on the relief valve!
Getting the job done!! Be careful. Blessings
I'm sure tryin'👍
