    normally when im scribing stuff like that i use a kd block screwed to the bottom of the cabinet then plumb the scriber up to the cabinet and use my compass set to the width of the cabinet gable. but after watching your recent vids i see the sense of the little jigs made to measure. same as your 22mm jig to floors which i copied and worked perfect on the job i did last week. cheers for the ongoing advice bud

      I'm assuming I can't just reply to the email with a photo as it came via RUclips...
      My only thought at the moment is to squeeze some decorator's caulk into the gap and perhaps paint it (I can get paint made to match as I have the colour code).

    Morning Del, have you fitted kitchens from DIY Kitchens. If so what is your verdict on them. We're hoping to have a new kitchen soon, and was wondering if you've used these. Really enjoying your vids, keep up the good work. 👍

      Hi Glen. Unfortunately I've never heard of those kitchens, but I'd be surprised if they aren't good as most kitchen suppliers now are pretty good🤩Thanks for watching😎Cheers Del

    That boiler looks trapped, how do you get the cover off it?????

    • @thetallcarpenter
      @thetallcarpenter  2 года назад

      Hi Alistair. It has just a front cover panel held on by two grub screws, and it easy to get out enabling all the major boiler components to be serviced👍However, more extensive work is needed, that whole corner I'd demountable. The wall unit is on 4 screws, and the upper half of the panel it buts against is spot and on Keku clips👊Good spot bud😎Cheers Del

    This is how I do it but I'm never keen on visible screws on the inside of cabinets

      Hi Anthony🖐I have lots of different colour waxes if a customer doesn't want to see screw heads inside thier cabinets👍(or I don't/can't hide them behind a hinge base plate😉) Thanks for your comment 😎 Cheers Del

    Good video. Like those jigs. First time I seen someone using them who I know I can respect/trust.
    Do my fillers same way. Not good when a kitchen designer from the "largest kitchen supplier in the UK" sends you end panels to use for fillers but then argues she has sent enough and the customer will have to pay for more panels if they want them flush, even though they are flush in their own show room!
    What an endless looping argument that was. Good grief!

      Hi Benjamin. I know I've been a bit of a U-Scribe salesman in a few videos now, but credit where credits due, they are a really great little invention and they are a UK venture. I know what you mean about these big kitchen suppliers as well😬 Been there, and probably will again 😵 Thanks for your great comment and for watching 😎 Cheers Del

    Why on earth are you not using the fence at 1 minute in? Now I know that you have done this a million times without incident, but new table saw owners will see bad practice especially with no riving knife or splitter (that I can see). Not trying to be that health and safety guy (really!). Love the channel, btw.

    • @thetallcarpenter

      Hi Dennis. I am cutting following the scribe line freehand so not using the fence. I understand your point about using the saw with no top guard, and I have explained on many of my videos that it is not good practice and done at the users risk. The table saw has so many more uses with the top guard removed, and I think it would be hypocritical of me to use it without the guard and just put it on for a video. As my channel gets more viewers, I may have to reconsider showing me using it like this. Thanks for your comment 😎 Cheers Del

      @@thetallcarpenter I appreciate the reply. No problems with removing the top guard - I think that is the first thing to get ditched on a new saw! And I get what you say that you were cutting a scribe and not a perfectly straight cut, hold my hands up to that one.
