  • Kurt Noack was born on February 13, 1893 in Stettin, the capital of the province of Pomerania. For many years he led the house orchestra at the Hotel Preußenhof in Stettin. He later lived and worked in Berlin.
    As a composer, he concentrated on entertainment music, with a particular emphasis on salon and character pieces .
    His best-known composition is probably this character piece “Heinzelmännchens Wachtparade” op. 5 in D major, the original version for solo piano was published in 1912 in Stettin by Baltischen Verlag, (Wilhelm Hofmeister).
