The first home they bought in Ireland in 1970 after the wildfire that reached their home in California and their children getting in with the "wrong crowd and drugs' was a parson's Georgian home more inland than this recent one. It was featured in the magazine Family Circle in either the late 1970s or early 1980s when they finally sold it and moved back to the states just as her kids were beginning to leave the nest! I remember reading about it in the magazine and the photos as well! BTW, you can see photos of the interior of the Brentwood house where she passed away in her book and video, "Positive Moves" her personal diet and fitness routine published in the early 1990s when she was in her 60s. Hi yes peat or turf we call it is used for burning and at one time was the only source of heating for the house
