thought it was going to be one of those gimmicky foundations where its a color changing foundation shade (never works on darker skin), but i was very wrong and im so happy about that! wishing the best for this company and love that they incorporated color theory. really shows that they put extra effort into it since a lot of makeup companies dont do that :)
Not gonna lie that shade match wasnt bad. A little too warm in undertone but I was expecting a bunch of pre made shades that people "match" to. This is literally made for you specifically. Wonder how much itll be
Great idea, but not for $295. I think it would be better if it would be available in a store and that the store mixes it for you and that you can just buy one jar.
I'd rather do this myself. I don't have to worry about store associates not sanitizing properly, certain colors running out when I need a refill or these machines only being available in certain locations.
How is she going to feed her family then? Everything is expensive in this economy. She's trying but these days food is more of a concern than what color goes on your face.
This. Is. AWESOME! ❤❤❤ it’s actually one of the reasons why I don’t wear makeup. I could never find my shade. And think about this, going in at different times of the year. I.E. summer shade vs winter shade. 👍🏼
They've had this type of technology in Korea for quite some time!!! It's awesome. I dont know why it took so long to do this, when it's been such a big problem for so many women for so long, and color mixing & matching has been around for decades... Anyways, glad its spreading now in the States! 👍🏻🥰👍🏻
@@BearingMySeoul Did you actually go into the Laneige shop that offers the custom services? I know at least mid-darker skinned black girls were able to get decent matches, and they are still expanding all the time. Even ready-made brands like TIRTIR, have expanded their ranges to be more inclusive to the dark-skinned girlies now, and are still growing their ranges!!! I think they are doing a great job, because I remember growing up only having like maybe 3 total average color choices for Korean foundations and powders, and I'd just have to hope one of them worked for me! 😉
then you never went to beauty school because THERE ARE DIFFERENT SHADES OF EUROPEANS. some more yellow some more pink. some both and some olive. it matters especially with MA. there are alot of brands back in the day that didnt do "ivory" how they do now, it was more orange and yellow based and no ones face matched their body. stop it, you know gd well you were just trying to be slick and not logical. lol especially coming from a black woman you should know better than to think a race has just one shade of brown or white with how black women have been treated in the makeup industry as just having maybe 3 shade options MAYBE like wtf thinks all brown and black women have the same skin shade logically??? they were being slick and didn't care about logic like you apparently, and the albinos are just now starting to get love in the Makeup industry because ivory isnt for every light pigmented person WHICH WE SHOULD KNOW.
@@sabre5807 bye bye a white person trying to justify foundation colors when us African Americans literally only had 2 shade for decades and one was red af girl bye bye bye bye bye 👋🏾
i have never been able to find a color match in a drug store. i’m white with yellow undertones (mediterranean descent)and most is made for pinkish undertones. finally found a japanese brand that works for warmer tones.
I believe this would be incredible for a make up artist, but using it only yourself and having to buy the pigments when they run out seems idk. I also saw this on a Safiya Nygaard vid a while back and it didn’t work perfectly but maybe it’s gotten better.

I thought too, this title is really dumb and misleading. Also her "invention" is nothing new, Korea has been doing this for years. This video: 👎
A paint mixing machine for humans💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Exactly what I thought too. But also. Cool. And custom foundation shades for Halloween.

I agree! That would be so useful.

Having lived there, I strongly doubt Korea has all the shades that would be required for this to be legitimate in the US! 😏
'They' want us to buy the wrong shades... means more sales for them

This isn’t new, but cool to see it coming to the US.
think sephora and many stores have a scanner and it tells you match for all the brands
Yes thru Pantone but it doesn’t work well IMo
I got foundation based on that, not that great of a machine
White peoples saying they can’t find their foundation color is always hilarious to me

It’s hard when you’re white as a piece of paper lol. The closest shade is white costume face paint 😭
This would probably be an amazing tool for makeup artists. Thank you for sharing this!
I love the idea!
Didn't Lancome do this years ago?
I think YSL did this with lipsticks
What happened to affordable makeup and mixing your own from a few shades...
This seems neat
Why am I obsessed with this news reporters tone of voice. 😍
Love INNOVATION!
Most amazing thing to ever happen to makeup! How expensive is it cause I guarantee you better be rich if you want one
I expect it will be in stores that sell make up and in hair and nail salons
$295 on their website
Only a weeks with though?
I ❤This!!!🎉
So cool!
This is a cool concept.
Congrats

Very cool!
If they scanned my tomato face to color match, my foundation would come out too red. Can’t they do your neck instead?
It can do whatever body part you want
@@cgpcgp3239 :) awesome. For my particular skin issues, that would be better

If they scanned your a## what color would come out?
Coding for skin 😅
How fun!

Thanks Lord for bible study class
I just buy those pigments and mix it by hand, they are fantastic.
Man wearing make-up 💄every day. No thanks. 😂😂😂😂
