Love the Triumphs! They are the best. Harley definitely did not have me in mind as a customer when they designed this thing…. BMW and RE are going in the right direction
Bought an Eliminator 450 back in November. I absolutely love it. More so than any bike I've had before. And to me, it is THE urban cruiser but more than capale of the twisting highways and the interstate.
Then spring of 2018 I was in the market for a new touring bike. Crap... most of them were in the neighborhood of what my 2018 F150 cost ! I found a new 2016 Triumph trophy SE and saved 10K over the next closest bike I was looking at. I still ride & love my TTSE, and the 10K pays for a lot of long trips.
I was surprised the R18 Roctane didn’t make the list. It is a clear competitor of the Harleys and seems to be the best version of the R18 so far. Given that it has a slightly different setup than any previous R18, it seems ignored by the motorcycle community. Maybe it’s because I’m getting older, but it has topped the RnineT (or R12) at the top of my list for next bike.

I love how HD sincerely believes that a £40k carbon farkle clad bike, that weighs as much as a barn, is the solution for the dire predicament they've found themselves in 😂
The Triumph Bobber is just stunning in that Metallic Purple. The R12 in Bordeaux also looks great but the mids might be to tight for me. I don't thing the HD models are really in the same genre.
The Kawasaki eliminator is a fantasic bike. The eliminator is a naked sport bike dressing up kinda like a cruiser. Which means its actually a great bike to ride and it looks fantastic. Unlike the honda rebel which has the quality and power of something you'd get in a happy meal from McDonald's. Plus the Kawasaki is priced extremely well.
id pick the enfield over the kawasaki if not for two major factors: I'm 5'6" and the couple extra inches of seat height on the enfield makes it go from very comfy to a bit too high to be comfortable. also, kawasaki is known to be extremely reliable, while nuts and bolts on the enfield are rumored to vibrate loose and need more constant grooming.

Anything over £20k ish for a bike is just crazy imo lol. The big Harleys make sense in the US since they have proper roads/infrastructure and decent weather that allows you to ride those behemoths pretty much all year round but in the UK and EU I just don’t see the point. Some people still think 20k for a bike is too much but I think it’s reasonable considering a lot of people have 2 cars - one for a daily and one for fun so in this case you swap the fun car for a bike
