@@PaidMediaPros the options are slightly different now on both google and Facebook, im trying to target both fb and insta ad engagers on google re targeting, this is what i have done, 1) ive build a URL with the word instagram and facebook in them 2) ive created an audience in google with the following settings Segment members : Visitors of web pages Action : Page URL contains facebook AND Page URL contains instagram AND Page URL contains harem ive then used this audience segment in a re-targeting shopping and p max campaign, i hope this works let me know if ive made any mistakes :) id really appreciate it
understand on Facebook ads, it has Pixel that recognizes the domain associated so we would just create a segment off a certain parameter on url. but how would Google Ads know what domain i was referring to when creating an audience segment by creating a segment off a certain parameter on the url ? does Google Ads have some tracking like FB does ?
Hi Tommy, good question. The strategy of using only the UTMs to create the audience assumes you're using only one pixel per domain that you own. So any page that contains the UTMs, will by nature, contain the same domain. If you have multiple domains using the same pixel, you'll likely need to create AND rules where the page URL contains the domain you want AND the parameters. Hope that helps!
Should I wait until every audience from certain link to be min 1000 to be eligible for targeting? Thanks Is there a solution for sudden targeting Once he land to page from Google PPC to appear a Remarketing ad in his Facebook Feeds ??
Awesome video! Is Cross-Channel Remarketing only applicable if you make use of Ads with UTM codes? For instance I want to target people on Linkedin who saw my RUclips videos (so no RUclips Ad). I like to hear from you! Thanks.
Additional question: Assume I would make use of a RUclips Ad and people saw my Ad on RUclips and didn't went to my website. Is it still possible to target them via Linkedin?
Great video! Would the LinkedIn strategy be applicable to all Google Ads properties (Search, RUclips & Display/Programmatic)? Have you also tested on Reddit, TikTok, and Snap? Thank you!
Hi Alan, it absolutely is! As long as those parameters are appended to the end of the page URL, you'll be able to create the audience and run it on all targeting types on Google. The beauty of this is that it will work with any platform where you're able to tag URLs with UTM parameters and can then retarget based on page syntax, so all of the other platforms you mentioned should work just the same!
Unfortunately no. This is a direct example of the recent changes to privacy laws are impacting advertising strategy. From my experience so far, remarketing lists have been impacted, but only by 20% or so. Most people still seem to accept the cookies, but your audience could be different.
Hi Rosario, theoretically yes. The only difference is that you won't be narrowing down based on the specific traffic source if people can find their way to a page without being directed from a PPC campaign. Hope that helps!
Usually we have a thank you page that leads or conversions are redirected to. Anyone going to this page is immediately excluded from all marketing activities. Of course this depends on the site, industry and how feasible it is or not, but usually thats what people do - redirect conversions to a thank you page and exclude everyone who have visited the page.
Hi there, you're right that audience sizes can be limited. Depending on what the goal is, we do use Lookalikes in some areas to help find reach. If the goal is true remarketing only, we'll stick with only the targeted audience and try to find ways to increase the audience size, but if we're simply trying to model users from one platform to another, the Lookalikes or expansion can be useful. Hope that helps!
@@PaidMediaPros Good stuff. By the way we have a mutual industry connection. I did some freelance work for Mae Polczynski. Sorry for the weird RUclips name. Watched & responded from the wrong account. I work in advertising, not a lawyer : )

What if I target anyone who visited a specific website page without UTM? Teorically it should be the same, just without tracking, right?
Hi Rosario, theoretically yes. The only difference is that you won't be narrowing down based on the specific traffic source if people can find their way to a page without being directed from a PPC campaign. Hope that helps!
What if we just wanted an audience from Facebook could we just say Facebook and cpc instead of using a specific campaign ?
Correct. Just create an audience from the source and medium portions of the URL. Then you’ll capture all Facebook Ads traffic.
If we are running the retargeting on Google Ads, how do we exclude the audience who have already converted via Facebook?
Usually we have a thank you page that leads or conversions are redirected to.
Anyone going to this page is immediately excluded from all marketing activities.
Of course this depends on the site, industry and how feasible it is or not, but usually thats what people do - redirect conversions to a thank you page and exclude everyone who have visited the page.
This is where URL-based conversions and customer lists as exclusions would be helpful.
Seems like audience size might be a limiting factor. Do you use audience expansion and/or lookalikes to compliment these strategies?
