    I really like Farag. His demeanor is so open and friendly. Always smiling, seems to take the setbacks with grace. Very likeable player (as is Gaultier) shows you don't have to be a robot or an animal to be an elite level athlete!

      Farag is way less sportsmanlike then he lets on.

    Farags sportsmanship is amazing. Love watching him, he's always smiling. And on the other hand Gaultier is playing probably the best squash I've ever seen, it's insane. Great match!

    Gaultier is just absolutely dominating the PSA tour now, awesome to see.
    Maybe the only man can stop him will rise again, some call him 'the artisit,' 'the maverick' or 'the magician' :D

    Great Match! I love how Gaultier is playing recently!! (well he never was bad, but right now, he's unbeatable)
    Living in Switzerland this sport never got recognition in local TV and i was happy to see that our national sport-tv made a reportage about this year's Grasshopper's Cup! Squash on the rise! :D

    Gaultier behaves like his oppenents. When it's an intelligent Farag, he behaves himself. When it's an arrogant Shorbagy his attitude is the other way around.

    Came here after the 2020 Egyptian open.. just to see how incredible the general was back then, it's amazing that he's still competing at the top level. Ah pre-corona times.

    Great match, love to see Faraq back in top form after being out for so long! He really pushed Gaultier this time, I felt that in that third game Gaultier was actually struggling physically and that if Faraq took it into a 4th he might sweep the last 2 and get the win. Awesome composure by the General to close it out but Faraq made him seem human and possible beatable after the untouchable form he has been on lately!!

    wow, even after 5 straight tour wins and 23 match unbeaten streak this year he still is not number 1?? you got to be kidding me...

    • @ngzijian14
      @ngzijian14 7 лет назад

      Bharat Swarup he played 1 less tournament which is why Gawad is still on top of him.

    • @bharatswarup4461

      but c'mon, playing 1 tournament less, and winning the rest should have got him number 1 at El Gouna last month...

    • @jalajupadhyay1491
      @jalajupadhyay1491 7 лет назад +3

      You have to play at least 10 tournaments in last twelve months and your average points over those ten (or best ten) decides your ranking. A tournament's point is decided based on the number of players competiting, award money, etc. Gawad won the biggest in that regards. Greg became number in April, Gawas became in May because of his recent 12 months record.

    What a great and exciting match in Zurich. I was live there and was going for Farag. Sadly he lost, but still did a great Job!
    Nice work Gregory the General Gaultier (saw that on the energy drink, that was given away for free :P). Ali had totally a chance to bring this into a 4th game.

    I think there's a certain edge you'd like to see out of a championship match. Being a gentleman and hugging the guy you're trying to beat aren't two sides of the same coin.

    Does anyone think that Farag would have won this match if he had been hostile and argumentative on court? I don't. It makes me wonder why some players are.

      J Clarkin gentleman's game. We could use more Farags and less ElShorbagys.
