Likewise with Xenoblade Chronicles 1 & 2. I was absolutely blown away by the first one and really loved it. I bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 with the same kind of expectation for it and like you I just could not get into it 😕 You will love FFX when you get round to it, it's got a really great story, memorable music and characters and a big plot twist. X-2 I had a much harder time getting into. I didn't overly like how the game was presented, it's a little too tongue in cheek at times and the dress sphere concept didn't really connect with me.

Nice collection of games and as someone who’s never played Pokémon before I had my eye on all of the Pokémon games, especially the brilliant diamond and shining pearl and I think and Pokémon legends arceus, I might stay away from Scarlett and Violet due to the performance issues but I may still buy them just so that I can have every Pokémon game released on the switch, especially as a newbie, who only recently got my Nintendo switch OLED about a month ago now which I’m really really enjoying and I’ve already asked over 20 games already and I have a lot of the games that you have such as Zelda breath of the wild Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario, 3-D world anyway great collection of games and there’s a ton of games that I definitely want to check out cool video and I love your enthusiasm for your games and your accessories.
I own a switch lite but it does take a back seat to my pc, I would really like to get more into switch gaming, thanks for your videos, very informative 👍
This was adorable. I think it pushed me to get Live A Live, and honestly picked me up a bit as Im a 35 year old gamer who sort is burnt out on most JRPGs. Youre enthusiasm for these games makes me want to give em all a try! I wonder, do you have feels on the Baten Kaitos or Grandia series or are they before your time? One I want to revisit and the other I tried recently and was a little meh on, but that might be my burn out.
I’ve never played either of the Baten Kaitos games, but know the soundtrack for both relatively well! It seems like a very interesting time though given the battle system😂 As for Grandia, it’s definitely on my list of games I missed and need to go back to-I think a collection released relatively recently for switch? But Live a Live was honestly a nice breath of fresh air because of the variety between the different stories and the ease at which you can swap between them if you get bored of one! It’s a very good “pick-up-and-play” kind of RPG!

Been playing Xenoblade 3 right now and enjoying it more than 2. Like you I wanted to play and beat part 2, but put it down after 40+ hrs and couldn't remember how to play it after taking 2 yrs off of it. Lol
I recommend the Witcher 3 the wild hunt. It has all the dlc from the other versions. Also you should give Persona 5 Royal and shin nagami Tensai 3 a go too. All great games

Wow, that's a huge case to carry around your whole Switch setup. Have you looked into a Genki Switch dock? It's a way smaller option than carrying the actual Switch coffin with you. BTW, nice God of War chair.
Great collection! SMTV is absolutely worth playing whenever you get around to it. As for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, definitely try it again perhaps on the easier difficult setting (the battle system being a bit too convoluted for it's own good, although is quite fun once you get to grips with it and being on the easier difficultly helps in my experience). The story in the 2nd half of the game alone makes it worth playing.
Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard about the story too! Tbh I saw so many memes about it before/around 3’s release and honestly that plus the story has been some of the main motivators behind me wanting to give it another shot😂 someday, for sure!
I laughed out loud because you and I have similar backlogs. I have to play dragon quest builders two I love the first one. The second one apparently is even better and that’s coming from someone who cannot stand in Minecraft. I have been a fan of the original ace attorney trilogies since they were on the DS, there’s actually a ace attorney and professor Layton combination game on the 3DS. I’m not a big professor Layton fan because I can’t do puzzles so I don’t think it was the right game for me but I loved it because hello ace attorney. I have Xenoblade chronicles definitive edition is on my backlog. . I gave away my Pokémon shield copy because I got bored with it within five hours and I wanted someone else to enjoy it. I’m looking forward to Pokémon Arceus though that’s a backlog one for me. I have the prequel to the ace attorney also my back log. I have to finish fire emblem, engage, it’s honestly one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever seen on the switch. I have been a big fan of the series since I got introduced to it on the 3DS by accident. I just walked into a game stop, saw fire emblem, awakening, and fell in love, but for some reason this one isn’t grabbing me as much. I have only played five hours of trials of mana. I have to get back to it but I like it. It’s very straightforward compared to other games in that genre. The simplicity of it I think will draw you in. How you felt about Mario golf is how I felt about Mario tennis these sports games that I used to love on the game cube just seem half complete on the switch is part of the reason why I won’t get the switch version of sports. I think they could do a much better job. I have cat quest digitally too . I have the second one which I haven’t played some recommendations. If you haven’t checked them out already number one remember there’s another fire emblem warriors game came out way before fire emblem three houses. Second, just because I think you would like it there’s a beautiful platformer called Ori and you can get a physical copy of it, but I just jumped at the chance to own it because it was five bucks the other day on the Nintendo E shop, there is a demo version of it, and I really I really think you would enjoy the art style. Since you like Octopath so much, I really do think you should check out bravely default 2. I haven’t played Astro chain. I will have to check it out and see if it’s something I’ll like, but for some reason my brain keeps telling me to tell you to check out the Bayonetta series if you haven’t already. Lastly, check out Ni no Kuni.
I had to send my switch to the company to fix unfortunately the joy-con drift was a big problem from the get-go for me. so i am waiting for nintendo to send my switch back and then i can play games. UGH.. nice collection of games.
I've been thinking about getting a Switch OLED for a while. My only concern are the games. I've never owned or played anything by Nintendo, but people who have, really love Nintendo titles. However, I looked at some gameplay, and I don't find them appealing...like, at all. After playing games like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man and Elden Ring, even Zelda seems rugged, cheap and rough around the edges. I often find myself asking questions like: It's 2023, who the hell cares about Mario and Mario Kart in 2023? I also don't get the hype about Final Fantasy, although I played a little bit of FF VII Remake on PS5. Are my taste and standards messed up or is it perfectly possible that the entire game repertoir of Nintendo is just not for me?

my Switch was blue and red, but the blue joycon was very sticky and gross so gamestop swapped it with a red one and I miss the blue and red so much LOL
LOTS of stretches--I also have a brace for when things get really bad, however, you don't want to rely too heavily on it. Sometimes ice and/or Icy Hot helps too!
I didn’t, I’ve been wanting to pick it up for a while but there was a time where the physical copy was mega expensive😭 thankfully they did a restock not too long ago so prices have come down-I just need to bite the bullet🥲
Yep! I’ve got all of those minus the SNES, but I’ve played a lot of SNES games either through emulation, virtual console, or other means! That console has a lot of my favorite RPGs, so I’m hoping to actually get the console itself at some point!

They funded Bayonetta, but they didn't give bayonetta's voice actor any more than $40,000 (I believe) for voice acting in Bayonetta 3.

I had to use a PlayStation controller due to neuropathy. The joy cons were too tiny. I love my Lite with the handle accessory.

so many switch rpg games you can import that also have english miss since it appears you love rpg games...
The Joycons can be very uncomfortable after awhile, definitely get the pro controller.

Yep! I’ve got all of those minus the SNES, but I’ve played a lot of SNES games either through emulation, virtual console, or other means! That console has a lot of my favorite RPGs, so I’m hoping to actually get the console itself at some point!
