    Thanks for this video, it is helpful to me. I wish you would have shown the bad pump after it was removed, and the evidence of the leak on it.

    Thanks for this man! I've got a coolant leak, and now I know how to take a look at the engine. That way I can snap some pics or take some video , so when I take it to an auto mechanic, I'll know if they're bsing me or not about what's wrong with it.

    Got a 04 same engine. I’ve put a new water pump thermostat and radiator cap. If I drove more than 20 mins it start coming out the cap.Before the water pump went bad I put some stop leak in the radiator. I’m stumped!

    I have a similar problem. I have a 04 civic, and it leaks coolant badly around the similar area and a large seal was hanging out below the belts, I drained the remaining coolant and poured water into it and it drains directly out. Any thoughts on what the seal is ? I haven’t taken much apart other than looking at it from under and top

    what you was calling the ac compressor is actually the power steering pump

    How did you change the water pump without taking off the head of the engine your video is the first one I seen without anyone doing it like this?

    • @RobieWickline
      @RobieWickline  3 года назад +1

      You have to take off the alternator, move the power steering pump out of the way, timing cover, timing belt, timing belt tensioner, and you may have to loosen or remove a motor mount I can’t remember. But once all of that stuff is off it’s like 3 bolts to get the water pump out. Put the new one in and put everything back on the way it came off

      You never have to take off the head to change the water pump lol, maybe you mean timing belt cover or valve cover :D

    If it got overheated and there coolant in the oil now do I need a new motor or rebuild the head and gaskets

    • @RobieWickline
      @RobieWickline  9 месяцев назад

      Probably a head gasket unless you have a crack somewhere in the head or block

      It was just a Ryobi half inch impact. Mine might’ve been easier for some reason

      Devante Chambers I actually figured out it was my water pump! Check out my second video of you want to see how I fixed it!

      @@RobieWickline mine is having coolant leaking directly below the timing belt cover that's how I figured out the problem

    • @RobieWickline
      @RobieWickline  4 года назад

      Devante Chambers yeah for mine the thermostat went out and I’m assuming the system over pressurized and blew out the water pump. Not a huge problem but watch out for the timing belt. My tensioner was giving me issues so it made it difficult
