Another amazing video, very jealous of the Kozelek record! Rarest piece I own is probably my Cattle Decapitation picture disc for the Anthropocene Extinction album, it was a limited pressing of 100 exclusively for the EU tour dates and was supposed to be sold out pretty instantly, but when I went to the merch desk they found a misplaced copy that I had to protect from the pit all night
Not exactly rear and I may have said this before but I picked up two or three years ago a sealed first press of the Contours do you love me now that I can dance for $15. I thought it was a 80's reissue, after having it for two years I looked at the numbers on discogs it's a first press and it only had a slight warp after being sealed for 50+ years ! What a find and it goes for 300+ dollars on discogs for less copies.
I have a copy of Secret Life of Walter Mitty soundtrack on vinyl. Not sure how limited it is, but it’s impossible to find and has been on Discogs for $300.
Hello Matt, I was wondering if you've ever listened to Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds? It's my all time favourite album and I would highly recommend it if you're into symphonic and progressive rock. It's 95 minutes but every second is worth it.
According to Discogs my Top 3 Rarest records are: 1. Life is Strange Promo Soundtrack 2. Brand New YFW 1st Press on White 3. New Found Glory Sticks and Stones 1st Press on Red
One of my rarest is µ-Ziq - Lunatic Harness. Not a bad album when you're in the mood for late 90's drum & bass. Phish NYE 95 Box takes the cake though.
Nice!! While reorganizing my collection recently, I found an unopened copy of John Lennon's 'Double Fantasy' from 1980. I'm sure it's worth more than the $6 price tag that's on it.
Great job, great video! Question, a lot of the music we’ve seen you purchase, we’ve never heard or heard of. It truly amazes us, maybe we’re out of touch, BUT, how do you find out about the music you’ve shown in your videos? How are you finding them? Much love and respect❤️🙏🏻🎧-Chris & Beth
@@TooManyRecords I choose to do mine alittle different. I did my hardest albums that I ever hunted for. Some will surprise you because not all of them are worth alot of money but we're hard for me to find. Video is up now. Check it out and let me know if any of them were hard for you to find too.
Not wax, but I just recently picked up the double cassette clamcase box of BMSR start a people. The first time It's been on any format besides cd. I see it's alreasy like 50 bucks on discogs
The wonder years we look like lightning 7 inch, sent to 100 random fans on their mailing list. None have sold but the copies listed on discogs are around 350 dollars
Enigma "MCMXC a.D. -The Limited Edition" with Bonus Extended Remixes on vinyl, original pressing(from 1991, as the regular version was released in 1990). It was never sold or released here on vinyl in the States, only in Europe, South America, Asia. Copies now sell from $30-$250 on Discogs. As for eBay, about the same in price range ! I got my copy by bidding on it several years ago on eBay for about $60, in mint condition from overseas. Official Virgin Records/EMI label pressing, not a bootleg. If copies sell for $30-$35, it is because they are in mediocre to shredded physical condition.
@@martins.8713all of the Scandinavian versions of their albums are pressed on colored vinyl and have an art booklet glued onto the inside of the gatefold with a drawing for each song on the record. Discogs has the one I have as 1/1000
i think you should check out marks new stuff again because thats honestly my favorite mark, it feels like such a deep look into his mind it almost feels like im living in his mind. I find it fascinating
@@TooManyRecords I mean his self titled solo album had quite a few melodic and empassioned tracks, but I can understand where you're coming from, it's probably because I got introduced to him through his (sun kil moon) most recent album from last year.
I am enjoying these videos even though a lot the records I wouldn’t be interested in. Especially the color pressings. I’m not a huge fan colored vinyl at all. As for rare records. I have s lot of rare records. Maybe my rarest has only 3 copies ever pressed. Not available on any other format either. Super rare. Check out my book, Beats To The Rhyme. I specialize in one genre- Hip Hop instrumentals. My collection is now all killer no filler
I wouldn’t be too sad about the Ghosts repress. It sounds awful. But my rarest or most valuable would be Flatbush Zombies - 3001 A Laced Odyssey (going for like $250-300) and Mutemath’s first album ($150-200)
Too Many Records I ordered it on Amazon when it first came out, I think I preordered it. Listened to it and it was really bad, pretty much unlistenable. Returned to amazon for a refund and read the reviews of others saying the same thing.
I've got the other version of the Mondo Ghibli collection, with the Princess Mononoke cover on red and blue vinyl. I hate to be pedantic, but Ghibli is pronounced with a soft G sound. Normally a Japanese G word would have a hard stress, but Ghibli is an Italian make of aeroplane engine, so should pronounced as the Italians would, with the soft G. Sorry, I can't help being an arse.
Dang and I purchased Westside Gunns Flygod Signed OBI vinyl and Hitler Wears Hermes OBI vinyl for $1500 lol Well at I have every daupe obi now haha. I privatley sold a St Laurent signed leather vinyl package of Travis Scott for $1300USD thats prob my biggest sale. Have other Gems though
Please make a part 5! I love these videos. I'm a sucker for rare/collectible vinyl! The rarest record I have in my collection is Bring Me The Horizon's Live at Royal Albert Hall Concert. It's a 3 LP with side 6 etched with artwork. I got it when it originally came out in 2017. and it's selling for $400+ dollars on Discogs right now. I think that's still a little excessive considering the fact that the highest it's sold for was only $242. But hey, it's extremely rare and those are the only one's for sale at the moment (that I'm aware of) so I guess that's what it's worth now.

Impossible to find but its on discogs for sale. So... Last one paid 150 us dollars. So 100 to 200 usd worth in maybe vg+ to near mint condition this time. When more people are willing to sell, the price will go down.
Damn, I had no idea you have a podcast! Just went and subscribed, excited to listen to it.
Woo-hoo! Yeah, I need to talk about it more. Lots of great episodes.
Great group of records! Keep up the great work, man.
Thank you!!!

Riverside white label pressing of Thelonius Monk - Brillliant Corners.
Still Life self-titled on Canadian Vertigo Swirl. Booyah
Mutemath's self titled 10th anniversary limited repressing. It sold for $80 a couple years ago and now is hard to find for less than $200.
I may have talked about that in a video I already recorded to come out in a few weeks..

Hi, does the black vinyl version of Guster worth anything? What about Dashboard Confessional's Alter the Ending? Thanks.
Neither are worth a ton. You can always check on Discogs.
