@@SP_CEGH0ST I'm pretty sure he was in an episode of perfect hair too. But please don't quote me on that. Im not too sure, but you can hear what sounds like doom on perfect hair 2.
Quick little notes for the homie Shawn cena about this album: this was funded by adult swim, doom and adult swim has always had a pretty tight relationship up until recently with the notebook album scandal, but that’s why in that boondocks episode where Huey fought boshido brown there were two songs from madvillany and numerous other examples I’m too lazy to right down. Also meatwad at the end was rapping a verse off of beef rapp from mm food which I thought was really clever. And alsoly listen to the mad lib version of space ho’s, it’s dope. thank you man I’ve been waiting on this one for a while, have a blessed day
Danger Mouse produced the album, and was half of Gnarls Barkley, which brought the CeeLo feature and the name Mouse in the Mask, like Madlib and Madvilliany. DOOM has album titles on another poetic level. Album titles dude. He’s the best DOOM is the best
On the MF DOOM is timeless thing you brought up: Gorillaz's Demon Days introduced me to MF DOOM and since then I've been hooked. Even in 2018, with a collab album with CZARFACE and an upcoming Bishop Nehru album that's fully produced by MF DOOM and KAYTRANADA, MF DOOM still has a sound that I think won't ever get old. This is my personal opinion but I'm open to what you think
RIP DOOM, I've been binging this series again and damn... the legend will always live on through our culture and our personal memories. Just remember its ALL CAPS WHEN YOU WRITE THE MANS NAME
I've listened to Madvillainy so much my brain will leave me if I play it one more time. This album gave me something new to listen to listen to. It didn't hit me hard the first time but now I can't stop playing it. It's something I've noticed with him, his work just kinda... grows on you. You aren't blown away initially but in a few weeks, you'll be obsessed. I'm so glad I found him.
"DOOM, not to be confused with nobody Especially, since the flows he used was so nutty Never too woozy to go study, crews got no clues Like old cruddy Officer McGillicuddy" 🥵 - Crosshairs
It wasnt just athf references. They got pretty much any popular adult swim show from 2001-2004 to be used as a sample or reference. Its part of what made this album so fun for me because i was watching the shows he referenced. I got into doom because of it
The most fun rap album ever? Possibly. Also you should check out some other projects Danger Mouse, who was the producer on this album, has worked. Man can music with best of them. Also there is a fun album by ASM that I believe is called the Jade Medallion. Amazing album that uses hip hop to tell the story or a warrior searching for his purpose in life. Great stuff. Uh, and Deltron 3030. Check out Deltron 3030. And Aesop Rock. And maybe Sage Francis! Great video and thanks for doing these.
Listening to you discover this album was a highlight of my day because it brings me back to how i felt 13 years ago watching adult swim and hearing them play sofa king over their ads. The way you digested crosshairs is the exact same way i did. This is by far my favorite piece of content from you

Shawn you should listen to SOUR SOUL. It's a collab with Ghostface Killah and BADBADNOTGOOD. One of my favorite projects of all time. Super soulful and laid back, and provides a lot of food for thought.
Capital STEEZ and Jakk the Ryhmer made a song together called "Sofa King" and used the same beat DOOM used on his song "Sofa King". Also This album was a sort of team up with Adult Swim with shows like Sealab 2120, The Brak Show, Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, Aqua Team Hunger Force and some others I forgot He teamed up with [AS] and I think this was his first time working with [AS] His newest like Project with [AS] Is called the notebook and it is 15 DOOM tracks that he made and never released. Also I think [AS] Wanted to team up with DOOM.
I thought I was crazy for a second thinking you were reviewing a new album, because I swore I used to listen to Benzie box when I was in middle school. But it is an old album lol 😂 love that you’re reviewing this!

Allot of rappers have used these beats on their mixtapes.
I've listened to most DOOM album too many fucking times since I heard him at first 5-6 years ago, Mm Food and Madvillainy easily over 100 times each. But if I put on any album that it's been a few months since I heard, I get stunned when I put something on, amazed over how good everything about it is and filled with excitment over how many insanly good albums he got, like I just heard some completely new music with a totally original sound that I've never heard before but fall in love with instantly. Never experienced anything like that, except maybe hearing something that I loved once upon a time, but haven't heard for 10 something years and get reminded of how good it is
Even though DOOM's only on one track, The Jade Amulet album by ASM seems like an album written with the sole purpose to get him to be unable to refuse featuring as the villain. I love hearing others of my favorite artists say they had that huge of an impact on them. Ultimate respect.
I just went on a journey and listened to every review you've done on a DOOM album, in order of when you released them. Im obviously a huge fan of his. But im also a new fan of yours. DOOM is GOAT
Hey I'm just some guy blowing up your comments section but you need to take a listed to Del The Funky Homosapien's 2001 project with DJ Dan the Automater titled Deltron 3030! It's an epic rap album opera narrative about life in the futuristic post apocalyptic interplanetary society of the year 3030. Del plays the role of a cybernetic rap warrior that is rebelling against the oppression of an interplanetary government, while rediscovering a style of rap, a style of music lost to future history. It's one of the most seamlessly perfect albums ever that flows together flawlessly. I would put it up there with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in terms of sheer cohesiveness.
These album reviews make the music better, the way you break down the lyrics and hype it up. I usually wait for you to upload a review of a perticular album just to experience it with your commentary instead. Thank you Shawn Cee for making my listening experience better❤
Going through your journey with first Time reactions to albums that has meant allot in my life is so satisfying I don’t know how you pick them out but I got a few projects I would love to see ur reaction to and I think you would love aswell if you don’t already know them. I remember I bought this album when there was a commercial for it on adult swim. Feels like a part of my childhood given all the references in the songs.
Firstly, yes it was Ghostface you heard. Secondly, there is a free EP/follow up to this called "Occult Hymn" that you should listen to as well. Actually, there is a re-release version of this project that combines the original release, the "Occult Hymn" tracks, and two on unheard releases called "Danger Doom - The Mouse & The Mask (Metalface Edition)". Thirdly, good stuff on the review man. Keep em coming bro.
(Disclaimer...not sure if other's have told you all of this yet but...yeah...) 1st- You're correct, the feature was Ghostface. 2nd- Adult Swim wouldn't let Dangermouse sample the cartoons. Since the voice actors were fans of DOOM, they decided to record their voices specifically for this album. Dangermouse is also the producer and 1/2 of the duo for Gnarls Barkley (Cee-Lo & Dangermouse). 3rd- Aqua Teen Hunger Force is Shake (the soda), Fry (the fries), Meatwad (the meatball) and Carl (the hairy next door neighbor). 4th- Reaction/review Fugees "The Score"
I agree that his music is timeless, it still retains that old feel to it but I didn’t know that this album is from 2005, despite my listening to it very regularly bc it’s so dope, it just really is smooth and timeless
Adult swim and doom made this joint together I think they funded it that's why the album's is basically a clean version no swears barley and that's how he got the actual voice actors
What i loved about this album is every track was amazing .. legit everyyy track had a dope beat. Dope lyrics dope flow, some dope references and clips from amazing adult swim shows . Alot of ATHF in there which is one of my favorite shows . I love it
Bro I remember buying ATHF season 2 and when you hit play all the entire fucking screen split into like 12 sections and every episode played at the same time, audio and all. It was such a dick move but so damn funny
This is THE album that got me into writing my own bars. So, it changed my life forever. And Danger Mouse will always be my favorite producer. And a fun fact is that he produced quite a bit of Demon Days for Gorillaz. And of course Gnarls Barkley.
hey man i just want to thank you for introducing me to NFD he brings such a style that really brings me in for more replay value so i just want to thank you Mr. Shawn Cee
Love your DOOM reactions man. You gotta do a one-off for Gorillaz' November has Come ft. DOOM, it's a straight banger and it got me into the villain for the first time
this is just off the top of my head "that was me being upset about something else but now that I apologized profusely probably too much i just wanted to let you know that I like working with you... blah blah blah... i don't know stuff like that white people like, REO speedwagon or something..."
I’m only commenting because I didn’t see someone mention it but ‘basket case’ I felt was so dope to incorporate Harvey Birdman ( an adult swim cartoon) to defend him in court Because he was clinically insane. Works on multiple levels like most of DOOM’s stuff

I've been waiting for this for a long time!
Top 3 DOOM albums for me, but I was also a HUGE Space Ghost and ATHF fan as well.
A wink is as good as a nod to a blind horse or course his technique was from a Divine source.
Never knew the price of ice or what swine cost
hey man i just want to thank you for introducing me to NFD he brings such a style that really brings me in for more replay value so i just want to thank you Mr. Shawn Cee
Crazy because I was just watching the other videos and just saw that this came out lol
this was released BEFORE Robot Chicken lol
Oh yeah and I think next month DOOM and Czarface are coming out together on an album. Gonna be disgustingly sick.
Even though there are repeated songs on it, Unexpected Guests is also very worth listening to.
Love your DOOM reactions man. You gotta do a one-off for Gorillaz' November has Come ft. DOOM, it's a straight banger and it got me into the villain for the first time
Finally back with DOOM! You better plan a reaction/review of Czarface meets MetalFace
Dangermouse got those fire ass beats tho
Big Facts
Totaly MF DOOM is timeless and he still has a large influence in the new wave as being cited as a top 5 rapper to alot of current artist
Master Shake steals this album with is answering machine messages.
this is just off the top of my head
"that was me being upset about something else but now that I apologized profusely probably too much i just wanted to let you know that I like working with you... blah blah blah... i don't know stuff like that white people like, REO speedwagon or something..."
Yesssss ...One of the best albums of all time...... In my opinion
I’m only commenting because I didn’t see someone mention it but ‘basket case’ I felt was so dope to incorporate Harvey Birdman ( an adult swim cartoon) to defend him in court Because he was clinically insane. Works on multiple levels like most of DOOM’s stuff
7:52 Aziz Gibson got the voice actor for Vegeta to do his intro on preHISTORIC Till Death.
