Doombots are funny cuz Dr. Doom, in the comic books, created Doombots that were as powerful as doctor doom and sent them out in his place to do his work for him.
Favourite Doom rhyme: "Doing songs lit in the booth with the best host / Doing bong hits on the roof on the West Coast" Almost every word in that rhymes. The man is a freak.
Isamon Andretti Doom just in rhymes a lot. The amount of bar content he has is roughly equal to that of Eminem. He just has a signature in rhyming style.

Big Dr. Doom fan here, Big MF DOOM fan. If a "DOOMbot" showed up at a live show I paid to see, I'd find it hilarious and I'd buy merch. It's straight out of the comics man, it's awesome! I would be a little sad to not see my idol, but the concept is so cool it'd outweigh the downfall. I just wish one fan would be allowed to get on stage and have the mic to tell the DOOMbot "take me to your leader"
@@MicrowaveBackground Literally accepting the plot and actions that contain no harm but just are in the character of DOOM is not even a bad thing, it actually is quite nice to see it that way. Yet all you could do is insult him and make some really dumb claims to make yourself look cool. What is your point?
You have a point! DOOM doesn't even stop short of telling you he'd rob you! It's constantly in his music! The fact that he doesn't show up to his shows after talking shit about being a villain kinda makes him the most authentic MC short of DMX!
DOOM is worth discovering. Even if you dont like hip hop or rap - start by listening to all his instrumental tracks. "All Caps" is a good start. Then start listening to real tracks and you'll come to appreciate the lyrics on top of the already badass beats. He's a magical producer.
You have to be exposed to the right artists. Hip-Hop sadly has a lot of trash, especially nowadays but a few still save it from dying. If you wanna decypher lyrics and see what it's like to have complex rhythm and pattern alongside a unique flow and style paired with AMAZING wordplay then listen to his music while reading the lyrics. You'll have to pause to figure it out. He goes deep into metaphors.
MF Doom's character is based on the famous Marvel supervillain Dr. Doom who actually had Doombots. The Doombots are robots that are modeled after their creator Doctor Doom. They are exact replicas of the real Doctor Doom and were created to replace Doctor Doom in certain situations and were made with an advanced A.I. program which causes them to believe each is the real Doctor Doom. It's hilarious and almost poetic that even in outraging his own fanbase, Doom still manages to stay in character.
Andrew Thomas duh, justin hunte is the goat of hip hop breakdowns, murs is a very worthy apprentice... love the hip hop dx breakdowns, the future should have college courses like such, because it's actually translatable to a job in music, knowing your past is the only way to pave a future, most college courses don't actually teach a career skill necessarily, that's why so many college grads are in massive debt and working very modest jobs despite having a degree that they worked hard for, the American dream isn't black and white anymore, you can't just go to college and have a silver spoon handed to you when your done, you need actual skills that stand you above the competition, which is exactly why we need to change the format of college courses starting with high school preparing kids for college and the wrok force much earlier, or else school is just a business scam like everything else has become like marriage 😜...
Do you think it's that DOOM is unable to be separated from his work? A lot of DOOM's sickest verses are rather personal, as we see with a lot of rappers, and while he does take on a lot of the characters, he still seems to bring these characters from personal levels. Take other Superhero Musicians, The Aquabats. Their content is nowhere near as personal as DOOM's. In fact, you can say that the lyrical content seems to be satirical at the best. This allows for The MC Bat Commander to be a completely other person (although I doubt the MC Bat Commander will ever be someone else), or even allow for various lineup and sound changes. If you're into the Auqabats, you'd notice that they've taken on a very different sound since their "Fury of The Aquabats" album. DOOM, however, is unable to really distance himself from the act. In fact, I think that his act will still have his beliefs from it. For example, whenever we look at Mike Myers of SNL fame, we tie him to his characters, rather than let his characters be truly independent of Myers. On the other hand, Power Rangers and other Japanese Heroes have changed in cast to the point where there are multiple actors/artists that make up that one idea of what a Power Ranger or Kamen Rider is. DOOM can't necessarily afford that because since Operation Doomsday, it has been his and his alone. Nobody can spit Potholderz (my favorite DOOM song), or even Accordion like DOOM can. I don't think it's just the fans being hypocritical, but DOOM himself not realizing that he has made his music, characters and act something that can't be replicated by DOOMbots, and that confusion itself has led to a confusion as to why DOOMbots exist. Of course, that's how I feel. Sometimes, it's hard to separate the artist from the art because of the fact that the artist has played a stupidly major role in the art. Sometimes, the art is bigger than the artist's influence on it and at that point can the artist pass it off to someone else.
Exactly. DOOM's music is very intriguing because he presents his music as if it's someone else rapping but you can tell the songs are all about his life, some of his notable experiences, the lessons he's learned. No one could possibly imitate DOOM's music, so when he sends fakes to his concerts, it'll just feel so out of place that the shit the fans did almost seems justified. Just reiterating your point.
You know the longer you listen to DOOM you notice how he almost narrarates his own story like some comic book with the vintage audio and the way he speaks and delivers. For some reason the tongues of old have way more mental impact that the way we speak today. It's like he believes he's an actual Super Villian but the more you listen to him the more YOU start to actually believe he's a Super Villian he paints this image of himself in your head. Like he's in his secret hideout plotting on destroying the rap game. And the songs are stories and tales of his Mad Villainy.
Yo. Thanks, Justin, for the DEHH shoutout! We really appreciate it, bro! But I just wanna clear up a few things. While I was at the show and was highly pissed off, I wasn't one of the people who trashed anything. I simply left and complained about it on MySpace. Haha! But as far as if it's hypocritical to get mad that he does this, I totally get your point. That's an interesting take...him being a villain and us getting angry at him doing what a villain does. But, if this is all a part of the character, people are supposed to get angry at the acts of a villain. So we're totally within our right to get pissed. Outside of it being a part of the character, it's bullshit. Yes, his idea of marketing the music as opposed to the person is deep and dope as hell...but it doesn't excuse him from taking advantage of his fans. We are not a part of the marketing machine who wants to exploit people. We want to celebrate them. And we like to see him make his point...but not at the expense of our own common sense. And, yes, I would definitely pay to see him play without a mask. I'm gonna do a response video to this for anyone who gives a shit. But thanks, again, Justin and Hip Hop DX!
He’s based on dr doom! If you’ve ever read his comics you should know dr doom rarely leaves his home country and always sends out doombots. I think it’s funny
I've seen him and seen a bot....Don't hate kiddos...if you're a real fan, remember he's the Villain!!! He also says straight up in his lyrics that he's known for ghostin his shows.
He might as well not fucking do a concert at all since no one will fucking know if its a fake. His bitchass shouldn't even expect to be paid a lot if pulls that shit on the concert venues and fans.

HipHopDX wow I am amazed a comment from some random fan can still have that kind of impact in a sea of thousands. appreciate the genuine fan engagement and am happy to be part of the conversation for as many breakdowns as you guys are willing to make.
It really is an insane concept to me. The entire idea behind Doom is he is the Mad Villain. He has never been presented as anything but. The entire idea behind the mask is to kill the man. People like to say they like him because of this and he is so underground and he's not corporate, but then the second the mad villain is...well himself, people get up in arms. This shit is art. The people who don't get it and complain about it too are just part of the show. They think they get it, but they don't, so the vitriol comes, and the hate piles on for Doom, but then Doom is the villain and are you supposed to love and trust the villain in the first place?
DMitsuki Nailed it. It's honestly incredible, an example of art so pure that it's genius can only be recognized by the genuine, unaltered perceptions of it's audience. Artwork that demands the unfiltered honesty of the observer, that challenges our true intent and emotions. I feel lucky to be able to appreciate it but a bit sad that it's purity and genius actually kinda relies on it never being widely recognized and appreciated.
I've been a fan of doom since I was young and never heard of the doomposter thing, but I think it's pretty cool. It fits into the mystery of doom himself and just makes his being itself even more rare than it already is
To each his own, I personally think its one of the worst, though Vaudville is my fav Doom album, so kinda like saying the worst million dollars I ever made, Lol. Honestly whatever song's he has no/less lyrics on becomes my least favorite on each album. Guest stars always pale in comparison to DOOM.

DOOM is worth discovering. Even if you dont like hip hop or rap - start by listening to all his instrumental tracks. "All Caps" is a good start. Then start listening to real tracks and you'll come to appreciate the lyrics on top of the already badass beats. He's a magical producer.
Give it more chances. i grew up to a metal and rock sound. Later in life im now hophip bound.
Rock and metal fans tend to enjoy Tech N9ne as well, would be another great reccomendation
Great comment, Mickey!

Andrew Thomas makes speaking about music interesting
Igottthedaft this probably one of the most intelligent comments ever made on this website.
Igottthedaft What, these old things, bout to throw em away, with the gold rings that make em don't fit like OJ

You summed it so perfectly 🔥🔥😩
