Craft Room Tour 2020 - Revised! Rolling Cart Organization! A Worthy Cause!

- I've reconfigured by work area in my craft room to eliminate the shaking of the camera during my videos. I hope the change works for all of us! A viewer requested a "tour" of my rolling cart to see how it's organized. The cart is on my Gayle's Favorite Things on my website listed below. To jiggle or not to jiggle that is the question?! lol actually several things came to mind and they all made me smile... one of which is when we reach a certain age we have things that jiggle, so why shouldn't our poor workhorse supplies! GIGGLING here & jiggling there, here a jiggle, there a giggle, everywhere jiggle giggle me oh my people can be rude! ha ha, me I just enjoy the crafting, the smiles, the tears, the fellowship everything that makes you Gayle! Hands down my very favorite channel and human on the net! I watch daily , talk about what you are up to all the time (so much so my truck driving son even knows the sound of your voice over the phone) He says I can call back in an hour Mom when you are done watching Gayle! Sometimes I take him up on that but usually I just mute the sound & watch while I talk to him, then after he hangs up, I rewatch the video so I can hear what you were saying! I can't miss a word not because I have to know what you are saying to craft, but because your voice just makes my day happy and complete! It sounds silly maybe, but many of us, I think, are proud to call you our family, our safe place . Sorry I do not always comment and it seems like when I do I write a book!!! Just know I love you just as you are and I always keep you and your family in my thoughts, heart, & prayers.

As a crafter who is wheelchair bound and have fingers who don't work as they once did due to progressive damage, I applaud those who help others meet their challenges with care and sensitivity. I never cared once about the jiggling. I just don’t understand people sometimes, this is a free show, tutorial, love, friendship get together. Don’t sweet the small stuff. Love everything you do Gail I’ve torn up my area and have taken over my front room also my cat isn’t to happy about it but I love it. Thanks for keeping it real

I can't image why anyone would leave you a hateful comment. They can just go away. As our mother's probably taught all of us, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I thank my lucky stars everyday that my mother was a lady through and through. Your reorganization looks great. I think it regenerates my creativeness to rearrange my space. Hugs.

Dear Gayle you are a SUPER wonderful person and very generous for sharing your beautiful ideas your craft room is amazing and I dream of having a craft room like yours my crafting area is a small table near my bed to those who left a nasty comment a huge BOO to them again thank you for sharing.
Your camera work never bothered me at all. I just love organizing and reorganizing. There’s something about bringing order to chaos that calms my soul. So, needless to say, there’s a lot of reorganizing going on at my house during these frightening times. Gotta do something that makes me feel like I have some control of my life. That’s one good thing to come of Corona Virus...every corner of every room of my house will be sparkly clean and organized to the hilt.
Oh I agree with Pet. I look forward to your videos, they are pure and natural. You laugh at yourself as I laugh at myself we have to stay lighthearted while crafting. When you make a mistake or say a smudge you cover it up that is what ink and paper are for. as for the giggle who cares Oh My Head! people will complain about everything. I just enjoy what you are showing us how to make and just listen to the chatting and your stories. stay healthy and keep making us smile!

Mz. Griz Great idea, I’m going to do that as well in my little village in the south west of England 🇬🇧. Might make someone smile in these testing times!!! Certainly cheer me up as the school I work in closed today, and they don’t think we will be back until September ☹️☹️☹️ and I don’t get paid as I was on a zero hours contract. Doom and gloom. So some lights are wot the doctor ordered. TFS the ideas 😻x
Helena Scott we need all the cheer we can get! Stay safe over there. Here in North California, we are in total isolation. Our younger neighbors have offered to do our grocery shopping. So much kindness out there!
It’s so nice that there ARE nice people out there, we’ve got some bits in for our neighbours, but as of yesterday (Friday) when I went to the supermarket it was empty of food. Aisle after aisle of nothing. No tins, milk, bread, meats, pet food, crisps( most important!!!) water, eggs, fish, or frozen. Nothing, it was like a zombie movie. Just white shelves. People here are suppose to be in isolation, but our village pub stayed open till gone midnight last night, yet the government said they should all close. I don’t think it’s being taken toooooo seriously here yet. Shame on those people. I hope you stay safe, continue crafting and smile every time you see you fairy lights!! 🎄🎄🎄😻x

Love your cart and how you reorganized your area! Looks like you have so much room to play in. I did like how cozy your other set up was but, I really like the current one too. I guess was immune to the jiggling because if you did jiggle, it didn't bother me. And anyway, I don't think people realize how everything is set up so closely and the small area to work in to get it into camera view that you are bound to bump and hit something. Thank you for your energy in providing so many of us continued fun while showing and teaching many of us different techniques, ideas and design.

I really like the box with the shelves/dividers that hold your large punches. I am going to keep my eyes open for something like that.

I love you craft room. I don't know what others would complain about. It is so large. With everything that you have going I don't know how you are able to and are doing to keep them in order but you are. It is a beautiful room.

Hi Gayle. I'm a newish subscriber. I have been totally inspired by your videos. I love to watch and listen to you! I create paper crafting RUclips videos as well. A very different style from yours, and I normally do voice overs. But recently I've been trying to work and talk at the same time And it's tough! I commend you for your videos and the hard work that I know goes into them, and for sharing your ideas. I enjoy watching and then creating. I feel inspired! 🥰 I made my first series of journal videos and have really enjoyed letting my creativity flow, thank you!
I loved your little room with all your supplies heading for the ceiling but I love this too with your supplies spread out and more visible. Boy, I sure wouldn’t complain about free daily crafting content. Sorry I don’t comment much as I tend to watch you while calming my brain down so I can sleep. Oh my gosh! You have made such amazing progress! I’m so impressed! In my craft room there are no overhead lights. Even though my walls are white, the room seems to devour so much of my light. I have about 10 lamps. Finally, I went to ikea and got 2 lamps that hang from the ceiling with a cord that plugs into a wall socket, goes up the wall, and then drapes out to a hook in the ceiling and hangs down where I need it. They have really helped. Where do you store your dies that go to your vagabond? I love my vagabond. It really saves my back, arms, and wrists. It’s a workhorse. You have inspired me so much. I have not been able to go out more than a few times since Christmas and I’m still binge watching your videos. Lol, I hoard your Patreon videos for when I’m having a really bad day. Honestly, I never noticed the jiggle unless you said something. I'm usually crafting and watching at the same time, so I miss some of what happens on the screen. I love listening to you while I'm working on stuff. Looks like the new setup may give you a bit more room to work. I like the idea of keeping your die cutting machine set up where you will see it and be lead to use it more. A lot can be said for having things in sight. Thank you for sharing your new setup and what's on your cart. I have a similar cart, but it has both journaling and coloring/painting stuff on it. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

I have the same cart and I did a similar arrangement, but ended up removing those hooks from the end because every single time I walked by it, I snagged my hip on those darned hooks! 😳🙄. I didn’t like my Washi on the bars, and I had more Washi than space and I don’t like my stuff split up, so I moved the tapes to a drawer. I use one of the bars for my paper towel roll and that sits above the little wire shelf that holds my wet wipes. The stuff on the other shelves is always changing...I have 3 carts in my room! Love those things!
I know my room is ever evolving. I’m always rearranging and as soon as I get used to it, i think, I need to rearrange it so it works better....lol.
I like your camera arm. I may see if I can order it on Amazon. I had a similar one for my iPad, but the iPad kept falling out of the holder! I had to return it. You seem to do well with your camera arm. I am going to start using my phone to record because I can store more videos on it than my iPad. I just don’t like having to put it on airplane mode because I’m afraid I’m going to miss an important call or message. Not that I get those that often!
Lighting is always a challenge too. Lights cause reflections and shadows, but good lighting is important. You’ll get it worked out!
