    I gotta agree when you do post its fire...literally yesterday my partner and i were discussing getting a joint account since we are now both working and we weren't sure if this option exists for non married couples. We opened 1 account and was planning to deposit money on Monday so we'll definitely opt for joint account. I really love your content.
    I've developed financial consciousness compared to few years back, and I've plugged my man and colleagues...😅

    For me a joint for husband n wife married in community of property should be both salaries are deposited into one account and all debits run from there and savings bcoz during divorce you willl share all debts and all assets its only good to have both parties transparent about their debt and force a sense of responsibility to the one careless. From the same joint account an amount according to how you both agreed can be sent to your separate personal account (allowance) were each person can swipe for whatever they like without judgment or consultation.

    Hey, I am new to your account ❤️ i’m half way through watching your video. Question got in my mind. Should we just get 2 chequing debit cards or get credit card as well ? Or just debit cards are enough. Please reply ❤️✨

    • @nokuhlekumalo
      @nokuhlekumalo  8 месяцев назад

      I think debit cards are sufficient - because you ideally want to limit the joint spending to money you ACTUALLY have.
      But again, it’s up to you and your partner to decide what will work best (also, perhaps check that both you and your partner have similar credit scores because if one person has a “bad” one, then both of you will be quoted the unfavourable (high) interest rate because the bank has to use a worst-case scenario analysis) - whereas this doesn’t really apply for debit cards.

      Hahahha but like I mentioned in the video sometimes these accounts are for shared expenses like rent and groceries. So other items (e.g. your social events, car installments etc.) are still paid by the direct person.

      You’re interacting with a fake account btw. Be careful.
      To answer you: if you’ve signed an offer to purchase that is a legally binding document and is not something you can easily get out of however it’s not impossible. Just reason with the person you signed with and be patient, maybe someone else will want the property.

    How would a joint bank account be taxed 🤔

    • @nokuhlekumalo
      @nokuhlekumalo  Год назад

      I don’t think it would. Your bank account doesn’t get taxed does it?
      It’s a different story if it’s a joint investment account - and that’s a good question 🤔 💡! Probably would apportion is based on contributions from each party , and any gains or losses would be apportioned based on contributions .
