      @@buckwild1628 you're right, I miss the 360 days where importing the disc was an option to boost loading screen time and less crashing or freezing, but I still love physical media, and older games contain inserts that I sometimes pull out and hang on my wall, some special content comes with maps and posters, digital takes all of that away. If you want a poster of something, you'd have to go out of your way to buy it.

      You see i thought of that, imagine you have an xbox one or series x, and the discs are serialized, and then you get the option to transfer that individual serialized disc to your digital library, deeming your disc unusable, although that would create mass amounts of discs that would be useless and thrown away creating more waste

    • @DaveGX
      @DaveGX 2 месяца назад +1

      @@gh05tkillazPeople would also just buy the disc, DL to console, then go take the physical copy back to GameStop, BestBuy, etc, and get their $ back. Not highly to ever happen UNLESS they made it mandatory that maybe in some way that same key on the disc used to install MUST be used to _uninstall,_ which yes people have told me is just plain stupid. But it means you also can't just go take your disc back right away and get your $ back IF you intend on keeping and playing long term. (Because what stops them from uninstalling day 1 if they immediately find something they hate about it?) Retailers also should have stricter return policies as well to prevent that.

    Mobile gaming is the death of console games. Not saying that they'll all go away, but these greedy interrupting cash grabs will become more and more commonplace, cheapening the experience for end users while maximizing profits at the cost of immersion, creativity, and innovation.
    Give it ten years or so. We'll all be playing WWE Fort Mine Nite Craft with opportunities to buy... I mean, license upgrades at a low subscription cost.

    I can't use the cloud because Microsoft is throttling my connection to them. I also can't download faster than 20mb per second even though my connection normally does over 200mb per second. Because of this I've decided to not renew my gamepass ultimate I've had for years. They boost the bandwidth for certain popular downloads like the recent Diablo expansion and that's how I know it's Microsoft and not my isp.

    Tapping that market will increase revenue. In order to "increase sales" (anything short of projection is considered a loss) then even as console only gamers, we need this to succeed and increase their profits so our way of playing doesn't come under fire and be considered for the chopping block.

    Consoles should still be made, but as a mobile and portable gamer it’s nice to see. But I also understand that having a physical copy of a game is leagues better than a digital version of it, but being able to play Xbox games on mobile is nice for those who can’t afford a console or pc.

    The thing is consoles are not the future of gaming, they might stick around, but the big market is mobile gaming, while PC gaming has been the most stable market. Valve is going in the right direction with the SteamDeck, mobile PC's are possibly the thing that might take over the big market at some point. Microsoft's take is also not bad, but the problem remains that streaming gaming needs a strong and stable connection, which will limit the amount of people that can use it at all.
