I found out the hard way that welding the spiders to the cross pin doesn't last long, you'll notice when they shatter, you have a jerking after 8-12 mph and it'll whine alot, when you turn you'll notice a ton of jump and skip, eventually the axle will walk out of the sealed diff and that's when I went to ec carbs and spent $177. I'm not in the game right now but I'll say that it's been holding up very well and was worth the money
Maybe so, I'm gonna find out. There is a picture of the cross pin welded to the spiders on my fb page. It's jewelry. Everything was hand peened to remove stress. Even put a taper on it. No stress risers please, I'll take two thank you very much.
Hmm, this what the horse guys do. Move the motor as far forward as possible, load the front tires, big steel bumper. I think there tractors are around 500 pounds.
Yeagh I rolled my wheel horse 416-8 going up a hill. Luckily I landed on my back and caught it with my legs and hands and squatted it off myself. It is 500 lbs plus. I'm going to weight the fronts and add a heavy front bumper with weights. It caught traction and just rotated back. Mud wheeling in Colfax CA.
It's pretty awesome to watch in person. Did you notice Sam's first steep downhill pass ever... Sam's quote "Is there another way down" tickles me every time it's watched.
Awesome machines. Not a fan of the stretched tractors. They look kinda goofy to me lol. But I live your craftsman build so far. Looks like a real solid unit. Very cool. I hope you guys had a great time.
You ain't kidding, totally blown away with all the hot rods this year. Thanks for the bump on Astra. She impressed me a whole bunch. Took it's beating like a quad.
Hahaha a whole bunch like all day and a night ride then do it all over again the next day. Hell some tractor guys came for the week but most drove in on Wednesday and stayed till Saturday.
What a great ride with you guys as always. I need to strengthen the front end on mine (the craftsman with independent suspension). When it holds together it’s a very capable machine at haspin
Maybe a good 1k if you do the work yourself. It took three mowers to make Astra. One for the 820, Gen 2 steering and frame. One for the cub axle and cross member. The last one lt4000 for the base and tins.
Yes sir, have a two in the funnel. Normally I can put them up a week after shooting but this summers auto repairs has consumed major amounts of time. The New Jersey trip is first up. Look for it this weekend. Scenic Trails King of the bog is up next. Look for that next week Wednesday.
Man! I need to get out their sometime! Wow!!!!! Nothing beats the sound of an opposed twin!
Any time, was just out in New Jersey last weekend.
I would agree with on the oppy but the vanguard twin cam'd up is up there.
@@MrStudabaker yeah the vanguards do have some pep.
Man I like watching theses videos !!! Thanks for the entertainement !! Take care.
All day and thanks for watching!
This kind of inspirational content is exactly why I am currently building a mud mower. Nobody around me gets it though 🤣
Thank you for the kind words. You gotta know it's a tractor thing.
Just listen to that opposed twin roar.
Yes sir very surprising, did not see that happening at all. Thinking stock motor nothing done to and it ate.
@@MrStudabaker its stock?
For now yes all stock.
Geez,...I would have hurt myself there! Nice machines, and some MUD!
The boys were on point and ready to rip. Lots of hot rod tractors this year.
You got that right buddy.
Hell ya brother
Right on, thanks for the bunp.

@@MrStudabaker only time will tell, but when it does go the ec locker is a quality product
Man I don't know how you guys handle those hills, whenever I take on a hill with my wheel horse it feels like it wants to wheelie and flip!
Hmm, this what the horse guys do. Move the motor as far forward as possible, load the front tires, big steel bumper. I think there tractors are around 500 pounds.

@@SlowRiderDucati my last mudding video I made, I rolled into a ditch and it was on top of me while i was under water!
Buttery stuff!:love it! Wish I could have stayed longer 😥 always next year!
Many thanks. Yeah I was looking to catch up with you.
@@MrStudabaker Hey fall is gonna be sweet!
@@giverthebeans9711 counting the days brother counting the days.
@@MrStudabaker me too bub
The ''Sam from Michigan'' machine looks AWESOME !
They ALL look really cool but there's just somethin about that stretched look that's KILLER !

@@MrStudabaker yeah it looks like sh le held up very well. Tough rig. Can't wait tobsee more on her.
Would planning little walk arounds highlighting one specific item during each trail ride be ok.
This looks like A LOT of freakin fun !
Y'awl got some pretty dang cool custom machines !
Hahaha a whole bunch like all day and a night ride then do it all over again the next day. Hell some tractor guys came for the week but most drove in on Wednesday and stayed till Saturday.
What a great trip! Great editing to as usual!
Thank you sir, good drivers make it easy.
Gnarly terrain out there, looks like some good fun!
Benjamin It's an absolute awesome time. Never have I seen so many hot rod tractors in one spot.
I am loving how astra is preforming it is an awsome machine hopefully next year i can make it up there with you guys
I hope so too! Fresh eyes at Haspin priceless.
Cats really happy that you drove the shit out of Aurora! Had a blast ride with you guys! Bad ass video as usual can't wait for the next one!
Saweet glad to have been able to... hey did you take that bean out of the seat. hahaha
прикольно как в болоте
Right on. You boys have awesome off road machines.

It seems to all ways roll decently.
Which way does your motor spin if you are sitting on the seat looking at the drive shaft? Left or right?
No clue, I have to check everytime when I do motor stuff.
How did he get them led strips on his rig looks sick
I believe he glued them down.
your new mower kinda sounds like my farmall H
Haha, I can hear that. Under power and getting after it.
What's the cost to build one these?

Iv always wanted to build a off-road mower but I have too many toys already not enough room to store them
Haha same here. Tractors are stored outside in the front yard..for you know, lawn decor.
What’s up with the cub? Why didn’t you take it?
Keizer is in great shape. Astra needed a good test n tune before I hand it over to my youngest driver.
When I was drag racing Ethan up the hill is right after when I broke my front axle bracket, that's why she was so squirrelly going up the hill lol
PLEASE MAKE MORE VIDEOS!!!!

Actually bad ass to see this is still going on I did this with a few friends when we were younger !!
I know right. Grew up on a wheel horse.
