Hats off to your creativity, hardwork and dedication.... You are truly an inspiration..... I got to learn many things from you.... Keep up the good work....
You have such beautiful animations and are such an inspiration to me. I have just started my animation journey and enjoy watching your videos so much. Thank you for your knowledge, sir. ♥♥♥
Just started studying animation and your works blow my mind!!! awesome! one quick question, for BG with which resolution / aspect do you work? I mean if you are working on a shot for HD (1280x720p) for example. Your BG drawing is also the same dimension or do you work with a bigger one in case do you end up doing some zooms and travellings, and so. Keep up your work, is amazing!!!
Cheers! It depends on the project! I would always paint it in a bigger format. 720p is very small so I tend to work in 4k or beyond. My final film is 3840x2160 for example.
Thanks , I'm filmmaker and I want to turn some of my short movies into this style of painting and animating with photoshop , of course I have a little bit background of 3 animation. so how can you add video to be a reference poses in movement , if you are not good enough in drawing ?
Hey Olof, I am currently doing an animation class for university and really like your style. I currently have an assignment to make a narrative short film but am struggling to decide which software to use. I have both photoshop and animate CC, whilst i much prefer and am better at drawing on photoshop, when I try to playback my animations on photoshop of 25fps, they are previewing at like 7 fps so I have no way of timing the animations correctly. Have you had this problem before? Because it seems like you don't have this issue currently. I doubt it is a hardware problem because i have a good gpu. (GeForce rtx 2060). I would really appreciate any help.
Hey! You can change the resolution of the playback in the lower left corner of the timeline, that will allow you to play it back faster. Also if you have After effects you can import your PS file there as footage and preview it there. By saving your file in ps it will automatically update in AE. But start by changing the previewing res as that will help.
@@OlofStorm thanks for the quick reply. i've tried lowering the resolution, it didn't seem to help too much, I'll try the AE option, but I might just do a first pass in animate cc then try to rotoscope that in ps.
Hi Olof. I started rotascaping a 900 frame animation and got to layer 130 and can't see any more layers. Although the frames go up to 900 in the time line. I increased the Ram and scratch disc allocation but it still doesn't show past 130 in the layers. Do you know how to fix please? Merry Christmas.
@@OlofStorm Thank you... Solved.. It was so long since the file was set up I thought I had imported the video and converted the frames to layers. Instead I must have added layers individually and made them a single frame (12th of a second) each. All I need to do is keep adding layers by hitting the plus button on the layer pallet.
Hi !! I realy like your work andI have a question for you. Do you have a utip for support you ? I realy want to support you but I'm underage and I can't give you directelly money ?

Not sure. Maybe divide the video into several projects?

@@wizendweaver why not work with a video layer? Then you only need one layer for the whole thing

Which software are you using?
how can you make a flat image like this? 12:01 - 12:40
Its projection/camera mapping. I have a few videos on it on my channel.
