Definitely less than 6 hours. My work on the laptops isn’t all consecutive as I wait for delivery or parts but the montage of actually putting it all together was 20 minutes for this computer and last episodes computer together
can you drop a link to where you got it? I'm looking for one for my 2012, currently have a anti glare screen but i dropped it a few months ago and one of the conners got bent/dented so now the lip dosent close right but the screen is in tact. ill buy the whole assembly for 150 or less. I've only seen insane prices like 300+ for these parts. love the videos your doing heres a request/tip how about pitting the 2012 15in against newer macbook pros in final cut rendering times! also one last thing if you have a good source for displays for retina macbook pros id appreciate that too, have a mid 2014 13inch i got for free with a messed up screen that i currently use as a desktop via hdmi but would love to make it a laptop again
These things are still very capable of modern tasks, and people love the dependability and upgradeability of unibody MacBook Pros. I made a video a few weeks ago about using a unibody in 2018: ruclips.net/video/dP-XucwFteg/видео.html
Luke Miani Reason I say that was because it’s very easy to pick up a 2012 one for around $400-$500. For $700 many people could get a 2014 or 2015 model
Now i understand the unibody advantage.......you can access all the hardware from the bottom !
I love these videos. It reminds me of something i would watch on tv lol! please make more
Just came across couple of your videos. Love this kind of thing myself! Subscribed!

When replacing a trackpad do you know a way of easily centering it? I always get it shifted too much to the top or bottom or left :/
How many hours did you put in that machine? It should be a profitable move for under 6 hours sort of

I don't know where you purchased that display replacement from, but you can get one in great condition for about $60! $140 seems extremely high!
Yeah it was steep, but It was in very nice condition refurbished from a professional retailer with a warranty
Where at, I'm looking for one for mine! greatly appreciate the help!

I would recommend when searching for a replacement display using a 2011 part. The display from the 2011 works on the 2012, but it's a lot cheaper.
Solid Advice! thanks, subcribed
That’s the MacBookPro I have
Your videos are great , but too short
Who would spend $700 on a 2012 MacBook Pro
