It's just the trailer though? You can't determine there chemistry when You only got to see like 2.5 seconds of them. Besides this movie is meant to address a while bigger issue than just love.
We barely get a glimpse of them together as a couple, the trailer's focus is on Jenny's relationship with her family. Probably they didn't want to scare off middle america with too much gay stuff.
Let me guess the plot
Act 1 - parents want their daughter to get married
Act 2 - plot twist she's gay and the parents are disappointed
Act 3 - parents realise family is important and go to the wedding
All these romantic movies are so predictable when you've seen 1 you've seen them all

Agreed. Jesse was a good match for her. Sweet and smart. Logan was sweet too but extremely entitled and he didn't understand the fire that drove rory. I didn't like Dean all that much to be honest. I thought that he wasn't good enough for Rory. He didn't support her or understand her.

These two are the worst pair EVER. They look like they have zero chemistry. Alexis Bledel looks like she didn't even want to be around Heigl, at all.
You know, I actually take back what I said about this movie. I downloaded it the other day, and it wasn't bad. They didn't even have time to have bad chemistry, because Alexis was hardly in the movie. So, now my complaint is, instead of getting to look at the one who's actually attractive and tolerable to look at, we get to look at... Heigl's big ass nostrils. Ugh. Now I know why they only put hot people on TV.

True that I wish the two leads had more chemistry but the main focus was the family dynamics. The scene toward the end with her Dad makes the movie and definitely makes me tear up.
I just loved the scene where Jenny's mum tells off those two women in the supermarket...I started balling my eyes out and got goosebumps all over my body!! them chills...so real...

Everyone on the Gilmore Girls was cast at the wrong age. Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) was 26 when the show started and she played a freshman in high school - she is now the oldest at 41!!!
It's a good movie to help you come out to your parents without scaring them or being judged. But honestly even the sister looked gayer to me than Katherine or Alexis.
The sister plays a lesbian in a tv show called 'Mr Robot' lol
omg i am always left in awe by Katherine. She'll always be one of the greatest actresses of all time for me. I always picture her with an oscars. Once an actor always an actor. The chemistry is off here but still you can see how superb Katherine is. She is always at her very best when she plays movies about LIFE.

i actually liked this movie. Yes the chemistry is a bit off, but the meaning is so great. Living in a small town with traditional values isn't easy. I'm straight, but it even opened up something for me being from a traditional family.

It makes me so mad how parents get so upset when they find out their children are gay. So what. If my children told me they were gay I wouldn't care, I wouldn't judge them, I'd be happy for them. I'm a Catholic but I still don't understand why it's a sin.... I know men and women can have children together, but everyone (man-woman, man-man, women-women) can love each other and start a family too.

The dynamic between the couple seemed a little underwhelming when it could have been more developed. There wasn't a whole lot of chemistry between the two to make you fall in love with their intimacy. There wasn't even a portrayed argument when the situation they faced definitely provoked it. There needed to be more passion and intensity and stronger character development to establish what she was fighting so hard for, rather than it mostly be an implication (no, I'm not referring to sex scenes, or make out sessions). The dynamic of the family definitely seemed much more raw and intense in comparison that kept me glued.
With that said, it was still a really good film.... loved it!
I agree. I came for the romance, but I realised it was more of a movie about a family coming to terms with their daughter's sexuality. It's still worth watching though, really relatable (especially when her dad wants to keep running away and not having to face things, we all too often do that). They were incredibly brave to come out, to face changes, and to "step out of themselves".

But the subject has become boring and I don't find any interest in the gay drama now that most issues have been resolved by the Supreme Court. TheW89 because not everyone support gay people we tolerate them because society expects us to. We live society where things are getting rather confusing for children, how do you explain this or transgender stuff . Kids are so impressionable

TheW89 Honestly before I realised I was gay I thought the same thing. Now that I have discovered my sexuality, I find it really hard to tell my family and friends, even though I know they would be cool with it ! Well, once my mom said : "I accept it but if one of my children was like that, it would be really weird for me". The weight of traditions is still very strong and I can understand that not everyone is confortable with homosexuality. Imagine, 30 years ago, homosexuality was considered as a crime or as a mental disease. And in some countries you still have death penalty. So yes, unfortunately, it is still a big deal.

It's not easy, but on the same time, I always laugh my ass off when my mother jokes : "you know, the other day, I found the exact right guy for you...". Or : "You'll see, when you get married with your man...". I feel like in a comedy movie ha ha.

Not that there's been a lot of mainstream gay couple movies (that I'm aware of anyway) but its good to see the narrative is changing to something more romantic rather than sexual. tv shows and movies these days always show these over the top, unrealistic or just overly sexual depictions of gay relationships/people....
