    Congratulations and welcome to the family from your sister from Idaho USA! My grandfather Gervase was from Australia and that's where he and his family joined the church. They were disowned by their extended family in about the 1950's. Sadly his mother passed from Breast Cancer when he was a teenager and they moved here to Idaho USA. He was a wonderful man and would call his grandkids "love" I have unintentionally followed in his footsteps as I call our children "love". I'm so excited for you! What a blessing it is to have the Priesthood. We have 2 Faith based channels called Catch the Buzz and Love Notes From God. Please say hi if you stop by!

    Baptised in 2012. Before that time and afterwards half of the LDS content I consumed was ex-mo (especially if Mormon Stories counts pre-excommunication of John). I have never found a convincing reason to not join and sustain membership in the church. I feel a lot of ex mos cannot see the forest for the trees. Glad that you are also keeping an eye on detractors while staying faithful.

    After listening a bit, I noticed you talking about investigating the process. As you continue your studies, you can find and ask for the holy ghost to help reinforce your learning, strengthen it. And what I've found is that when I had real loyalty to the Savior, and the gospel, occasionally little tiny sparks of the holy ghost would help me learn and help me avoid the opinions of man and see what's real and what he wants me to learn. If you can listen to the scriptures this helps. Now you can listen, through audio such as on the way to work with ear buds and so on. And people learn to hear before they learn to read and you are trying to open up yourself to the holy ghost.
    :)

    LDS are genuinely some of the nicest people I know, with a strong devotion toward God (as they know him) and other Christians could do well to emulate their zeal and spirit of sacrifice in their concern for building loving Christian communities, their positive approach toward family values, morality, and sanctity of life.
    The Bible and Book of Mormon actually agree - There in only one God, God and Jesus are the same, have existed for ALL Eternity, and Jesus Christ is God, and per Hebrews 10: 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.
    Nevertheless, your new priesthood is basically worthless because LDS gospel is a sad travesty of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. For example, the ‘heretical’ belief Jesus is Lucifer’s brother is NOT supported in the Bible or Book of Mormon.

    • @TorvicsVlogs

      I appreciate the thought anyway and God bless you all the same.

      @@TorvicsVlogs Your welcome.
      Please if you would, why do mormons go to all the trouble to precisely 'bless and sanctify' the bread and water, symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus Christ, then symbolically desecrate Jesus at the end of every Sunday service, when the 'left over' bread and water is thrown into the trash like common garbage?
      Would you do that with an old Book of Mormon or even an old worn out pair of garments?

    • @johns1834
      @johns1834 Месяц назад +1

      @@TorvicsVlogs Good morning. Keep in mind, we DO NOT learn the truth of a church from 'another' church because that teaching will always be biased. In other words, you do not go to a baptist church to learn about mormons and you do not go to a mormon church to learn about Catholics.
      Jesus Christ established one 'universal' Church for everyone and he promised to be with us until the end of the age.
      So, unless you think Jesus is a liar, then there was NEVER a need to 'restore' Jesus's Church.
      Regarding the word ‘universal’ and Jesus's one ‘universal’ Church, St. Ignatius who was a disciple of John the Apostle and later became the Bishop of Antioch, in 107 AD, Ignatius described Jesus's Church, in his letters, as ‘universal’ and the Greek word for ‘universal’ is spelled (καθολικός) and pronounced ‘catholic’.
      God Bless You

    • @johns1834
      @johns1834 Месяц назад

      @@TorvicsVlogs I am totally happy brother and my only concern is that you receive the 'fullness of truth', unfortunately you will NOT find 'fullness of truth' in the mormon church.
      Like I said before; we DO NOT learn the truth of a church from 'another' church because that teaching will always be biased.
      Having grown up in the episcopal church, the mormon for 10 years, and now Catholic, and having learned the truth of each of those Churches.
      The choice is clear, Jesus Christ started the Catholic Church, the Church of the living God, which is the pillar and bulwark or truth.
      God Bless you .
