In my mindfulness training, I was taught that you needed to accept whatever the yucky stuff was which I could not accept the rape or the molestation. You're not saying to accept the trauma. You're saying to accept the feeling that comes when you think about it. Thank you for clarifying that.
❤
Very helpful 💜🙏
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us Dr Cloud. Many years ago I was in a car accident and I didn't deal with it in a healthy way. Over time I started to be so afraid of driving anywhere. I didn't even want to drive one mile away from home.I'm thankful that with God's help and counseling I'm doing so much better. Praise God 🙏
You are a wonderful person and amazing father to your daughter. Thank you for sharing this great lesson.
For me it's feeling like food is caught in my throat and I can't breathe. How do I sit with that?
Start small
I was diagnosed many years with generalized anxiety disorder. Unfortunately..now ..my world has become very small. I have avoided a lot.
I am taking your information very seriously and determined to apply it! You are such a blessing..thankyou!
🙏🙏
I don't believe in all those diagnoses. You do have anxiety I believe you ... But I wish they'd just stop with all the diagnosis....just stop...🙏
Amen!
Sometimes you can have too much anxiety from drinking coffee...
I felt so much better once I stopped drinking coffee.
That is what I was going to say. Stop drinking coffee it makes things worse in an already active brain.
This is GOLD!!! Thank you Dr. Cloud! I’m currently in the healing process of years of chronic illness that I finally( thank the good Lord) realized was all stress induced. I was bedbound! I’ve learned soo much from you! God bless!
Love the Seinfeld reference:)
I'm beginning to realize this as well...health issues...stress induced!! Thank you Dr. Cloud!!🙏🙏
Spiritually speaking, if fear is not of God, does embracing/accepting it kind of "endorse" it? I hope I'm not being too religious but I somehow am feeling the need to incorporate Biblical truth with this technique, as Henry is always SO good at. Anybody have a verse that would fit the bill?
Maybe "taking each thought captive"? Yup, that's it! Now I gotta learn to sit with my fear of not following biblical principle. I guess that would be GRACE;)
Yup, I agree with taking thoughts captive and putting them under submission to Yeshua. Fear is an emotion that is produced by thoughts and memories of negative experiences that are stored in our brains. We are to sit with the discomfort of the feeling of fear. Recognize, acknowledge, accept the feeling and after that you can dismantle it link by link.
Look at it as praying for your enemy. It doesn’t have any power but what you give it.
I think just acknowledging that God knows what you’re going through and he cares about how you’re feeling. Then meditating on Phil 4:6.
Prayer In The Name of Jesus will break those chains - for God has given us a sound mind!
“The ‘something’ is not causing the fear.” Brilliant!
Thank You SO MUCH For This Dr Cloud 😍😍😍 This is SO Awesome Sir and This Has Helped me SO Much 😍😍😍 God Bless You Always, Dr Cloud 😍😍😍 Your Work Has Blessed me and Helped me Tremendously Through The Years, Sir 😍😍😍
Good stuff! Embrace the feeling to get over the fear!
We are going through this at it’s worse!! my husband he always had anxiety but now it’s worse than ever.He doesn’t enjoy anything he fears everything,I have to take him to all his appointment and speak for him he just can’t deal with anything and travelling he can even do that. Its a constant struggle he says he’s having a heart attack every day!!Just today he said he feels he’s going to die he feels like hes having a heart attack i keep assuring him it’s the anxiety but nothing changes because he also doesn’t want to do anything to help himself 😢
Sorry to hear what you're going through. This sounds a bit like a trauma bond, or co-dependence. Have you considered therapy for yourself?
@@rainbowjules thanks for replying it’s is trauma bond I believe he’s seeing a therapist now hopefully it will help him.Im trusting God 🙏
@@isildarodrigues5138 Thank you for the update, Isilda.
I do hope - for both your sakes - that he is seeing a good therapist. Panic attacks are horrible, but you cannot give from an empty cup and if he becomes too dependent on you then you will also become unwell.
I wish you both the very best with your current troubles and healing work. God bless. ❤🩹🙏🙏
Wow, I needed that... thank you, so much!❤
Feel the anxiety without eating it away!
Oh wow .. very good Eating it away.
This is extremely helpful!
Thank you!
(Would you be willing to come on the plane with me and walk me through this, though?)
😅
Thank you so much!
But if your on the autism spectrum and have trouble with eye contact. There is a physical reason for bad eye contact. Does exposure help this too or would you just be spinning your wheels?
Very helpful!!!
Hi Nancy, how's your day going with you?
Thank you, thank you.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you. Let it be are great words.
Hello !
So my baby has eczema on her face. When she starts scratching my anxiety goes through the roof. If I let it be she starts to bleed and it would be neglectful. How do I manage this type of anxiety?
You prevent baby from scratching AND feel your feelings.
Mitts or gloves on hands might be ok sometimes. Also a tiny bit of Vaseline will ease itching. I'm sorry for baby as I get eczema and it sucks. Good luck with this.
Dupixant. My great grandson has extreme eczema too. He is just starting this 15 months old. Face was problem but excessive scarring entire body so the time. Poor kid.
