In early American tank design, they felt any weld was a weakness. So they molded the entire hull in one piece.
So bizzare compared to the YOHS in blitz. Tier 10 is the M6Yoh with a 2 shot 120mm or a 3 shot 105mm autoloader.
The main weakness on Blitz is a fact that the Blitz is runing short on Maps! And the maps are small
@@lehelciontos7419 blitz has way more weaknesses. maps are too small. teams are not big enough. No vehicle physics. garbage graphics for 2022.
@@falcon6329 still better than the broken PC version with broken equipments, crew skills, gold rounds and oh, enjoy your weekly OP Russian tier 8 premium lol, blitz actually has balance. actual gameplay > graphics
@@falcon6329 Seems like you’re playing a different game buddy. Stay mad though
@@falcon6329 Blitz does not have arty thats all i can say

That's an oscillating turret, the cupolas will have the same visibility when face to face as when using the full gun depression .. they will however be hidden when you point your gun up, in which case I'm guessing that egg shaped turret becomes penetrable.
I guess you can play it slightly like a Kranvagn and raise your gun a little bit after you are firing, but don't raise it too much so that you expose the belly of the turret too much since there's a strip of armor below the gun that is a weakspot if you raise it too high
Very similar to the Yohs in Blitz
All gameplay effects aside, I think it's really cool that WG take these tanks that never made it off the production line and brings them to life.
Wow, nice sight to see, usually WoT players cry about these tanks that never made it out of blueprint stage, I'm all about WG adding more varied tanks who cares if they existed IRL or not
the only problem is, that those prototypes "failed"... but in the game they are better than the real tanks...
@@UchihaSasuke1014 same, there's no other game that does this
@@robstervienna4695 Exactly my issue. I like seeing blueprint tanks personally - Issue is, there's a reason they failed, and them being stronger than REAL tanks is honestly dumb.
@@robstervienna4695 ah yes, tanks that were NEVER BUILT "failed".
In WoT Blitz there's actually an M-VII-Yoh which is the tier VII and it has the engine in the back of the turret, thus getting shot in the rear of the turret damages your engine... From tier VIII onwards the Yohs have an autoloader and the tier IX and X are swapped around.
The *reserve* track is only available in tier IX and X which only lets you *reverse* at 4 km/h
Makes me wish the M-VII-Y was the Tier 8 premium in WoT PC instead of the M-IV-Y. Just for the bizarre engine in the turret layout.
Wow...
The Yohs in Blitz have autoloaders, and the T10 in particular has the option of a quick double-shot. Much more interesting than what they did in WoT
note on the tier 9 and 10 yoh tanks, since both of them have oscillating turret, those weak points are also going to be visible when you hull/aiming down.
but also completely hidden if you point your gun up :)
If u point ur gun in the air the bottom of the turret is not a weak point so after u fire stick ur gun up and get bounces for days
@@Milobaby. There's a strip right below the gun which is a weak point if you show it to your enemy. Yes, raise the gun a little bit after firing, but don't raise it too much.
so are the krans, yet they are practically inexistant
The M-V-Y looks like the tank Marvin the Martian would drive.
That top gun on the M-V-Y (the Tier X) makes me think "Yoh" might secretly stand for "Yohvercompensating".
The Yohs at T9 and T10 do have those track supports on WoT Blitz, tracking them with HEAT rounds can be nearly impossible at times.
Whenever I'm grinding new Tanks, I always use Free XP to get the top Gun, Turret and Engine so that I can be effective in Battle and grind the rest normally, I use Improved Hardening so that I can mount things without the Tracks, it don't take long to get the XP to research them anyway so sacrificing a useful equipment piece for a few Battles wont hurt and either change it once I have the Tracks or keep the Equipment on that I used in the first place, depending how I feel about the Tank.
18:06 funnily enough, this thing actually counts as a hit box in Blitz. But theres a catch, its base thickness is 220mm so barely anyone can pen it apart from TDs and premmos. XD
Edit: thank you for the correction good sir.
The base thickness is 220mm. But yes it is still very troll because they cover parts of the lower plate and are well rounded.
I'm curious to see if its possible to bounce off the bottom half of the turret directly into the top hull deck armor. I honestly cant see how that wouldn't happen for the tier 9 or 10 if you aren't using the gun depression to hide it. I also wonder if people were to shoot the side of the turret on the pivot points if it will damage the turret ring or the gun.
I've been playing the X tank the entire day. Great tank. Not overpowered, but really fun.
WoT just made a move in the right direction and every move counts. All the best in years to come QuickyBaby.
I'm curious as to whether the turret mounts on the side of the turret will count as a hit box or if it is a good way to disable the turret altogether since it does not seem to have a turret ring.
Yeah it would be very weird to take away the tank’s tech tree main feature when going up the tier.
Yes, I’m talking to you T-34/100 and TVP VTU
A very sad grind that line can be
Those vehicles suck when grinding, that's for sure
3:20 The mantlet of the top turret is 160mm and the area beside the mantlet is about 170-200-ricochet. The stock turret has 140mm of mantlet armor, and the turret cheeks are about 200mm-ricochet. Either way, it has a decent turret-pity it only has 5 degrees of gun depression.
I really like when tanks have multiple competitive guns rather than having tanks where it’s a no brainer to use the top gun because it’s has the best of everything with the highest DPM, alpha, and pen, as well as the best gun handling.
I like when tanks have at least 2 competitive guns. The bottom gun might be the worst for every spec.
The middle gun might have the highest DPM, with better alpha than the bottom gun, but lower alpha than the top gun, and the best pen and gun handling of all 3 guns.
The top gun might have lower DPM, with higher alpha, slightly lower pen, and a little worse gun handling then the middle gun. If you want a DPM set up, accuracy, penetration set up, go with the middle gun and if you want a big alpha set up, with good but not the best DPM, pen, and accuracy, go with the top gun.
Of course, the top specs for each gun can be mixed and matched, as long as there are at least 2 guns that are each superior at something and not hugely disadvantages at other specs, relative to the other guns,
Same, with that being said I wish they would buff the French Amx M4 heavy line. Also have a choice of guns but so mediocre.
Weakpoints will not be hidden with gun depression on the tier 9 looks like that the turret will also angle down as you move the gun down
Thanks. Did not realize there was a new branch on the tree.
25:05
That is the Face of Death, right there.
Absolutely terrifying.
I dont know if the did it in pc but in blitz, the M-III-Yoh has the engine in the turret. So you can receive engine damage by getting hit in the turret
Thanks for in info QB, I rhink I'll steer clear of this heavy line
So looking at that to your 10, it doesn't look like it's going to be as big of a hull down monster as one might assume. The gun does not move independently from the turret so in order to use the depression the turret needs to be pointed down along with the gun. This means that the weak point on the cupola should in theory always be visible. This also means that you cannot block shots with your gun at your weak points. Another big week point when facing this tank on flat ground is the turret ring. I don't think this tank is going to be as big a deal as someone might assume
Kinda grateful there isn't a tier 11, it gets weirder and weirder as tiers go up and the tier 10 already looks alien enough to be in War of the Worlds. The Polack's gun depression is... depressing. Five degrees and you and can feel it letting you down during fights.
a giant m103 turret on 2 sticks going down to a complete pancake hull would be the t11
the strange thing of having the 5th higher in the tech tree than the 6th isn't so unusual in WoT. The IS-5 and IS-6 are both tier 8 while the IS-4 is a tier 10. WG doing whatever they want with the tree progression isn't new and imo isn' teven harmful. It's a funny trivia for sure but there are more concerning stuff to worry about in this game and with this new line haha....
And they probably decide it because of how the game works is different compared to RL. In RL, the 5th is an ergonomical nightmare with the commander so close to the gunner.... but in game that just means 1 less cupola/weakpoint. 6th is definitely improvement with it having more space ergonomically, but it got 2 cupola now instead of just one.
25:04 the mashinegun prts look like eyes, and the barrel like nose/mouth. i can never unsee this lol :O
The M VI Yoh on blitz it the tier 10. It’s like the VZ-55. It can dump 900 damage in 1.7 seconds.
After watching this video it makes me really realise how lucky console is in this 1 regard, we get told all of the statistics of any tank in game, but I guess this is because pc has everything else. Another brilliant video QB
T10 looks like a drone tanks will be when there isnt a crew. Expect to see something like this in RL very soon....
24:06: they say: the length of barrel doesn't matter (as long it is not a short one) - the caliber is much more important - it gives much more satisfaction ;-P
That's what tanks with a short barrel say.
QB, the gun depression doenst hide the cupolas, the entire turret oscillates like a T57 or AMX13
gonna save my opinion for after they are released and we get some gameplay
QB goes on vacation just to take rest from sitting, but QB streams on vacation.
One of the few lines that were first implemented into blitz before implemented into wot
I would say a very clever move from Wargaming.
First you spend most of your free XP into the ' under the hammer event ' and afterwoods they come
with a new line so you can start to grind a again lots of XP...
yaay more hulldown monster!!! just what we absolutely needed!
Seems to me that the whole turret moves down on the tier 9 so even if you are using your gun depression the weak points will be exposed.
You would have to move the turret up after every shot.
sounds like another kranvagn lol
Really hope you can put the teeth decal on the lower front side of the turret. :D
They should add the ability to move with a destroyed track to a lot of the BT series of tanks and some others that were designed to be able to drive on their rubber edged wheels without their tracks attached. .
Seems like qb is a big fan is skipping tracks if you don't need them for other parts but I think tracks are actually quite important.
They improve gun handling while moving, ground resistance and traverse speed which will give you a way more enjoyable time playing these tanks.
the axle holding the turret will be an easy pen up close !
QB, I don't think you'll be able to hide your cupolas with your gun depression (especially on tier IX). Mind that, the gun seems to be moving with the whole turret rather than itself with just a mantlet...
You just lift your gun slightly
@@smnkm4ehfer Sure you can cover it with a gun when you don't shoot. I am talking about the situation when in other tanks you depress your gun by 10dg and the enemy can't see your cupolas at all looking at you. Here it's impossible since when you depress the gun, the cupolas go together with it.
im not sure whether i want to grind m5y... atleast not now. Its not op so thats good for the game but i think the hull is gonna be tricky to pen like E5
Great video man from the us !
Interesting line I’m looking forward to it though!
Hello QB, thanks for the video! I would also like to raise some attention to the fact that WG misspelled Mr Pawlak's name. Leon S. Pawlak was a Polish immigrant who came to the US.
i get a funny feeling that the meta is going to shift slightly towards Concept 1B area ish. Not all players have the time to do ranks to reach Div 2. Not to mention the 20k bond price tag...
You said these might be hull down monsters but I think that's not the case.
The 10degree depression is the whole turret (consider the pivots), so the potential weak-spots are always going to be exposed!
Its interesting that on Blitz the VI is the Tier 10 and the V is the tier 9 and on PC its reversed.
nice washer machine behind.
I upgraded the tank to the top immediately using gold and free esp. I tore up the M6 tanks and other Pawlacks. I like the tank and am close to getting the tier 8. I like it.
i question the X's armor because the turret supports are only 260mm thick. Heat will eat right through it without a problem. You can't hide the weak spot on top because the whole turret moves with the gun, so if you're using -10 of depression and you aim up to hide the coupla then enemies are just going to slam the underside of the turret. Along with that button looking thing under the turret it looks like that how it connects to the hull to rotate, its probably a massive weak spot. If you aim down to hide it then you expose the coupla. I think this thing is going to be frustrating to play...
Its hilarious, really. The M6, the Pawlack, both are heavies that get outdone at their job by the M4E2, a medium tank.
actually i'd say the pawlack is about on par with the jumbo, sure it has 12mm less turret armor but you get better speed, pen, and more DPM if you choose to use one of the 75mm's
25:05 Let's just call it the mole-tank! Turrent front looks like a mole with those two tiny eyes above the "nose", and the hull is shaped a bit like a molehill. :D
so creative i love it, keep it up m8
Quicky baby, look up when reloading the tier X snd tier 9 tanks. It makes thw weakpoints smaller
The gun depression should not do you any good on that tier 9 weakpoints. As I understand it, it is the whole turret depressing downwards the oponents so the weakpoints in the back go up and are always visible for the oponents. Maybe you want to add some sideways movement when peaking over the ridgeline in this tank.
Yeah i was thinking of that
Same as kran, u can just look up after shot. At least on blitz, the turret keeps impenetrable.
@@joao4437 Thats only partly true, When you look up it actually decreases the angling on the turret and gold rounds can butter it.
@@redgator7250 as I said, I'm basing my comment on the wotblitz equivalent tank. There when you point up, the turret keeps impenetrable for everyone.
Maybe not for High pen TDs, but at least for most of tanks. And then Probably the M V Y will get an armor buff on pc to place tier X
I think the tier 8 is easily the best tank in the whole tree, the armour is great, the gun handling is amazing as is the dpm and the pen is so good especially on the gold ammo you can even handle tier 10 superheavies. . Absolutely love it. Keeping it even though I have the tier 9 now.
Good luck on getting the M-II-Y
You have to use the Pawlack Tank or as I like to call it
The hell tank
Yeah i just Tried the pawlack and it is just a piece of shit
Hell is no problem it's heaven for me
The struts on the ring holding up the turret I believe are weak points on the tiers 8-10
That's what I want to know. Cause that makes it a lot easier.
I spent over a minute trying to figure out why "my" calendar was opened. I had to restart the video because I was so into that thing.
Another line of hull down specialists, wonderful
i just want to know how can loader laod the AMMo in that yoho tank
The elc can hide frontally under the 120mm long gun without getting any shot....
The American/British gun should read as the M68A1 105mm cannon, a British designed cannon we used them on the M60 series and later M48 marks ala M48a5
In the American system, the RO L7/M68 gun was prototyped as 105mm T254, which is the middle gun on the Tier 9 Yoh
The "120mm American-British gun" is probably a WG reference to some joint development that spawned the 120mm M58 and the 120mm L1 tank guns without actually giving the player access to that higher level penetration
Line has been reviewed ad nauseum, Dez already playing the tanks.
Woow! I miss playing this game
the T10 105 looks like a trumpet
That t6 yoh looks like a Dalek frim Dr Who.
in the mobile version is the Yoh 6 is the tier X and the Yoh 5 is tier 9
Hey quicky baby what mod is your smooth zoom I can’t find it
Those pillars which hold the turret better be hitboxes.
The American British 120mm is a prototype of the guns that m103 and conqueror used
I'm so happy about this line because they're not blatantly overpowered as heck.
Kind of a Bell shaped end on the lucky boy if you ask me.
At least we get to start out at tier 5 instead tier one like when they add a country!
Crazy
Time to spend the next 2 months grind to t8
well now there is an american 120mm with 440 alpha. now maybe they can give the same treatment to the t110e5 and make it special.
I'm ok with non-historical tanks, all I care about is balance, and these tanks seem manageable.. until tier 9 & 10 oops... At least they look funny so I wont be so mad getting plonked by them for the next month, trying to get used to their new meta. My fav part with new lines isn't to research them but learn to crush them. Given their shape, I might have trouble with the YOHs haha..... Gonna stick to my TDs with high pen for a while lol.
Sorry bud that you are in the laundry room on holiday @ 6AM, but we appreciate it as we stare at our free XP and are deciding how much gold to spend to land at the best tank on the tree to get started. Salute!
The funny thing is that the Yoh tanks aren't even heavy tanks. They were classified as MEDIUM tanks. That's what their designations stand for. M for Medium Tank, then the number was the design number used, then Y for Yoh Company.
QB"fast 37tons heavy tanks"
me: effective 69km/h in is7 on med terrain
The tier 10 turret looks very xenomorph like
Honest question, where does the shell leave the cannon? If it is at the end of that ridiculously long barrel of the tier 10 tank, another tank can likely just drive up to this and be under the cannon?
That would be troll asf
In WoT, as far as I know all guns are fired from the start of gun barrel where it leaves the turret (or gun shield). Otherwise you can just thrust your gun to the wall in your long pp guns and shot over the wall.
So I have enough blueprints and free xp to skip to tier 10 immediately but the whole thing about release seems really fishy, I'll probably hold on for now
2:06 it's a casted hull, why would it be welded together? Unless my translation is wrong
When coming out?
Looks pretty decent and not broken.
The Machingun ports on the front of the turret for the Tier10 are weakpoints!!!! :O
When I face them in blitz I usually annihilate them.
How can i play test server ? I cant find it and the last version doesnt work
Will this update have common test
It looks like xenomoph head from aliens movies lol
The First tank looks like the M3 Lee
When can we expect gameplay?
24:58 that menacing look
The Tier 10 turret from the front looks like Jar-Jar Binks from straight on.
hi QB, can you do a Video on Campaign changes pls for upcoming Campaign? thx
GOOD IDEA
