Do you have any idea how hard it is to find the three oldest albums by VAGUEDGE? Like for real? I still haven't been able to get my hands on the debut album. Anyone with high quality access to it - message me right now. Right now you hear me!
Hull always had this very unique style in the Touhou metal sphere. Their non-metal arrangements are a whole other deal. A truly diverse artist. The vocals by Rib:y(uhki) are just one of those pinapple-on-pizza type of deals, because I can understand if this style of singing is something you can't bear to listen to. That's fine, I can't deny they have a very unusual sound. Those of us who do like it though have a very hard time finding anything similar.
Well, at least we have this. The intro and buildup are absolutely wonderful. The gloomy electronic instruments blooming into harsh metal just tickles my bones in the best way. I've said it a few times before but drums are my biggest joy in good metal and with this arrangement I especially like what they do in the pre-chorus that first starts at 1:37. Just - umf! Mwah! It's good, great even! The quiet section and guitar solo after 4:10 sit in a perfect spot to break the pattern a bit without shifting the mood one bit.
This might always remain as THE Alice in Wonderland arrangement for me. Now having both the track and the art in HQ just makes it better.

Wow, I was pretty confident Vaguedge was forgotten by everyone. It's very nice to see someone upload(or at least reupload) a song from them. They don't have much music but I love all of their songs, especially Deathmarch of Jiangshi's Paradise.
