I agree, there are plenty of nice UK legal Carry knives out there. I think ( but I may be wrong ) that the term " Gentlemans Knife " comes from the Victorian age. Back then, most people just had plain unadorned pocket knives as any extra decoration cost more and didn't make them work any better. All they cared about was that it should be tough and not expensive. Gentlemen ( in other words rich men ) were not so worried as they didn't do manual work, and could afford to have more fancy-looking knives. Victorian Bling if you like, lol.

I worked closely with the local cops when I was an outreach alcohol worker so I know a few of them well. Common sense isn’t in the job description unfortunately and a SAK isn’t a weapon of mass destruction. Good for you getting one over on them. The Perkins do seem to make copies of other knives but they are well priced and well made. Stay sharp my friend 👍.
